I'm going to have to add my agreement here as well. The hatchback w/ the flat fold down seats was a big plus for me. Also, it's much roomier inside than I expected; I mostly notice this when I get into other people's cars that didn't used to feel cramped, but now do. The keyless entry and start are probably my favorite features though. Overall, it's a very impressive piece of engineering.

e.g. jackrabbiting of the light is actually a good thing By "jackrabbiting" you mean really stepping on the gas to get up to speed as fast as possible? I haven't tried this as I assumed it wouldn't be as efficient (plus it's not really my driving style), but you really found it gave you *better* millage? Have you noticed other things that would go against intuition? I've got a 2007 Prius and usually average more like 44 (mix of highway and city - usually a bit higher for highway, though stop and go traffic jams are where the car really thrives :p).

Paul Allen's science advisors don't necessarily know enough about fusion to be capable of evaluating whether or not Tri-Alpha's scheme will work or not. Even the guys at Tri-Alpha know it probably won't, but it might, and the investors (including Paul Allen) are aware that it is a very high risk investment, but they have enough money that they feel it is still worthwhile. After all, if someone does come up with a workable fusion power machine those that funded it stand to make a lot of money.

Want to bring linux to the mainstream, pick a standard and develop it. Set aside your disagreements and work for the greater good. The world doesn't need another linux distro, it needs everyone working to create a single comprehensive distro. We certainly do *not* need everyone working to create a single, comprehensive distro. Throwing more people at the problem, after a certain point, is only going to slow things down. Working towards standards, however, would be a good thing. A standard package format could be very nice indeed.

See, I really like the speedometer readout on my Prius *because* it's digital (they've also placed it in a much more convenient place, closer to where I'm looking at the road anyway). Analog meters just don't work as well for me, takes me longer to read (probably because I'm reading the numbers off anyway, and then have to interpolate mentally). Kind of like a watch, some people really like the analog ones, for me, digital just works way better.

I (try to) always put the -rf at the end of the line, and have a habit of using tab completion, so before I add the -rf to anything I'm about to delete I have a much better chance of having selected the files I really do wish to delete. Mostly I have to do this because I often accidentally hit the enter key halfway through entering a command (my enter key is actually in the split area between what would be 'h' and 'g' on a qwerty keyboard, which makes it easier to hit, but then it's also easier to hit [accidentally]).

yea, aliases are (in theory) nice for this (then you know who's giving away your address too). The problem is, when you sign up for an account, a lot of places will tell you the email address you entered is not valid (because of the + in the address I presume). This causes a bit of a problem, unless your mail provider uses some other type of aliases that don't get rejected (I'm using gmail where aliases are of the form 'username+whatever@gmail.com')
