I think Kosovo was a war. Was war declared? No. Was war waged? Yes.
But this brings up a very good point. If we were not at war, why were we there? Why was that death and destruction good and approved, but in Iraq it is not?

Every President is allowed the "free walk". It is the way it has always been done. All this talk is about, and for the election. Once the Dems get a president in, the last thing they will want to do is start to go after the last president. That is also why Clinton go a free pass. It would be a waste of time, mony and resources to go after the ex-president. They will focus on the mid-term elections instead, because if they get a president elected, they will lose the house and/or senate (which would be good).

Why would they raise the toll that high? If they are anything like the US government they don't want people to stop driving there, they just want to make more money off of them when they do. Now, once everyone gets used to paying the 8 quid, then they will raise it a little, and repeat the process. It is getting the initial money which is the hardest part.
The only thing I would worry about is if they decide they can make a large amount of money selling the information to marketing groups, for targeted advertisments, for example.

The best way to go is to do centralized backups. Where I work we at told to and setup to use a central folder for all business work. Our "My Computer" is mapped to this folder, so it is that much easier. We have a script that checks the backup status when a user logs in. If it is older than a certian date then the script runs. It will allow to be canceled, until it is a certian time from the last successful backup, then it needs to run. This is really just a copy to the users home drive so, in case it is needed it, is ready to be restored. I think robocopy is the main utility it uses. This works great and the only downside is the space needed on the server(s).

Now, think back to when everyone here remembers "when we used to have a white Christmas every year" or "I remember when it was colder and snowed more."

Here is what I would love to see happen.

This guy sues the RIAA for this. Before it goes to court he offers a plea to the RIAA. They say no, so it goes to court. The RIAA knows they can't lose this or it will open the flood gates (even to past plea deals) so they roll out the big guns and it cost them a lot of money. The trial starts to go bad for the SGT. Paternoster. When it looks like the RIAA is going to clean house and ask for court costs, SGT. Paternoster withdraws the suit.

Then I would like to see how they handle that because they are in a real bad situation. If they go after court cost it not only looks bad (But hay, what do they care) but it sets up how everyone sued by them is going to counter-sue. If they do nothing they are out more money and since they are assholes they deserve it.

We fought in North Afica, Italy, France Germany, Romania, etc. We lost a lot of good men in the war.
Remember, the USSR actually signed a peace treaty with the Nazi's. They only got into the war because Hitler gave them the same respect he gave everyone else (including the USA) and attacked them. The only difference with the USA is that he could not reach us to attack us. We stopped him before he could.

Most, if not all hunters, spend more time in the outdoors that most people. Also, here in Texas, they support the outdoors more than anyone else, by buying licenses, etc. Because of this, the environment they the cute little animals need so much is being saved. I know people who spend all year feeding all kinds of animals, help preserve their habitat and expand all their resources so they can go out a couple of weeks to hunt. It may sound odd to you at first, but that is why game animals are making a great comeback from near extinction. I like to hunt, but I also like to observe nature and animals in their proper settings, not just in some zoo. And, yes, I eat what I kill. I think everyone should have to go out and kill and prepare their own food at least once. It will give you much more respect next time you go buy that pre-packaged meat, remember someone else did all the work for you.
