I'll give you some time...
OK, now count the number of dirty comments about muslims and Allah.
Tehn count the number of comments that are "pro-Islam"(that meaning, of course, that they say that not all muslims are riotous and violent)
Now notice, other than the fact that the vast majority, if not all, of "pro-Islam" comments are in response to people generalizing about how all muslims are violent, that there are far, far more negative comments about Islam.
The sales representatives were hitting me up for speed. Two of the girls, the two from Japan, I think, were huffing rubber cement behind one of the kiosks. One guy I tried talking to, who seemed a bit disoriented and was prone to talking really fast, started laughing so hard that his nose began to bleed when I asked him if he thought the Xbox360 would be successful in Taiwan.
I was reading about a few things lately, like the coming peak oil and the fact that we do not have enough resource on earth to support the way we live. So I figured, fuck earth. Let's go. Give me your thoughts on the plan. I realize that much of this is contingent upon political impossibilities and scientific possibilities; but I think we need to start somewhere. I also realize that there are parts of the technology herein that may turn out to be unfeasable. That is an inevitability.
Note: this is a rough draft, obviously, and I hope that others more knowledgable than me can make corrections where applicable.
Plan for Mass Space Colonization
I)Funding
1.Cut military funding in half.
a.~210B a year
b.Withdraw all troops stationed outside of US
c.Stop all non space military research 2.Cut all Agricultural Subsidies
a.unknown monetary savings, considered significant. 3.Taxes
a.raise taxes on highest tax brackets and corporations
1.increase revenues by up to 50B
2.those affected are also the biggest benificiaries of research and
construction contracts. II)Internationalizaion
1.US offers cooperation with all nations who express interest
2.cooperative funding methods utilized to maximize returns
3.cooperative science research to maximize returns III)Energy
1.outlaw personal consumtion of petroleum products
2.encourage local production of food and products
3.increase public transportation with an express intent to transfer knowledge
and methods learned to colonial situation
4.possibly oulaw powered personal vehicles IV)Science
1.internationalizaion of research (see II)
2.complete open sourcing of all types of research
3.heavy emphasis on practical space and foreign world technology. V)First ten years
1.Vast majority of funding goes to research
2.heavy emphasis on getting off planet
a.large scale exodus
b.best choice: space elevator VI)second 10 years
1.split funding between research on construction of exodus devices
2.construct space elevators, orbital platforms
3.research emphasis on non-terrestrial colonies, I.E. Space stations VII)third ten years
1.beginning of small scale non earth orbit colonies
2.minimal construction of exodus devices
3.construction of orbital platforms and "arc" ships
4.heavy research on ground based hostile terrain colonies VIII)final ten years
1.Full constuction of non earth orbital colonies
2.to be tranfered slowly to ground based colonies
Let us compare. US activity gives off 18-24 million short tons, volcanic activity 145-255 million short tons, of CO2 each year.
How much can we affect climate change if our entire CO2 emission is 1 percent of that of a single natural source of CO2?
Wow, you really, really flubbed this arguement, 18-24 is ~10% of 145-255. And that is just the US and territories, only about a quarter of the worlds CO2 comes from the US.
So, um, to cover a couple of other points.
Let's say, just for argument, that the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere doubles. Then it makes up 0.07% of the earth's atmospheric gases.
Not going to kill us? Of course not, but there is a good chance it will heavily affect the temperature. I think it was back in the 70s when Carl Sagan predicted that venus would be really hot because of the large amount of co2, he was right.
We know for a fact that CO2 is a prime driver of heat retention, quit trying to pretend like it will not have a big effect.
I'm sick and tired of hearing so called intellectual types summarily dismissing Intelligent Design and Creationism without having any idea of what they are talking about. Belief (not scientific fact) in Intelligent Design is simply the belief that, that which exists is too complex to have occurred by chance alone and that an intelligent creator (God or god depending on ones belief system) created all that exists and existence itself, through an unspecified means.
This is exactly why ID gets so easily dismissed, its adherents continue to insist that it is scientific and not just a belief.
That and the fact that you cannot have a discussion about science with someone who can simply ignore the mounting evidence of a theory by say that it contradicts their belief.
P.S. If ID is only a belief then what practical use does it play? Just makes people feel better?
Bushido Blade 1 is one of the very best fighting games ever made. It is simply to understand and yet button mashing does not pay off at all against a decent player, you just get killed quick. Completely different game than 2.
I just wish they would remake it with better graphics.
Well, they could make money from Chinese even if they weren't registered in China... I'm sure many advertisers don't really care where someone is when they look at their add, so long as that person can understand it and be able to act on the advertisement.
While you make a lot of good points this is the prime problem. The Chinese government can stop the transfer of money to Google if Google does not comply to the govt's will. They have strict controls over all types of info, not just political.
I've mostly thought of the good ones as littoral.
With this newest revelation, and the exit poll discrepancies.
I'd say we have a crime.
No crime?
How about this?
A sworn affidavit that there was voting fraud taking place.
Or the discepancy in exit polls.
What exactly are you looking for?
It is not our fault that the government refuses to investigate.
How does "not that great" turn into "terrible".
Honestly, I never saw the lure. It looked a lot like UT and played pretty average. Nothing special.
Of course I never played the console version for more than 5 minutes, being a PC gamer automatically makes a controller awkward.
Well, fine.
Make him your foe.
I think all of the netizens became digirati.
And he is definitely a trolliratus.
Or maybe we are all SlashBotirati.
Wow, you can't really read can you?

Hey, why does everyone have to bring the lawyers into a nice conversation about conservation?
I'm sorry but any article that has this:

Is definitely worth a read.
Doing whip-its with microsoft marketing?
This is the funniest shit I have read in a while.
You sir, have no idea what you are talking about.
And I suppose no true conservative disagrees with you.
I speak Latin, enough at any rate, and I can give no reasons that we should emulate Latin grammar.
Well, except maybe the whole declinations of nouns, but that is purely a personal preference.
Something which should be cared about is the public domain.
PS No I am not a grammar nazi, I just know english.

Nah, it ain't the gravity. Pluto's just lazy.

And Osama was offered to Bush by Afghanistan before we went to war, he refused.
Your point?
And when exactly were they proved guilty of that crime?
Like the guys in Gitmo?
A batch of fifty or so piles of bullshit more like it.
Yeah, flash is cool for portable and smaller storage stuff; but just think about a RAID with these guys in place of the standard HDs.
Yummy.

And where do we find this elusive "set browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers"?
