The author explains that there is a lot of content behind password protected sites. I had no idea that google didn't know your password!
I heard something about a robots.txt file somewhere before, but I thought that all robots where smarter than me anyway.
I also learned about something called freeweb that may or may not be used for good or bad things. I then learned about TOR which also may or may not be used for good or bad things.
This article really opened my eyes to the vastness of the Internets
I recently made a purchase through newegg.com. Used my trusty VISA, was redirected to the VbyV site, realized I didn't know my password, clicked cancel and figured the transaction was done when I canceled out of the VbyV. Got my Discover and completed the transaction. Low and behold, what shows up in my email, but two tracking numbers for identical shipments with both my Visa and Discover getting charged! After some investigating with both newegg and my bank, turns out that the merchant can choose what to do when they get a failed VbyV transaction.
Talk about a perfect "no it's their fault" situation
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious wouldn't work as a version name, b/c it's more than 8 characters. Somewhere it would be chopped to Supercal, which coincidentally is also the name of the only CAL you can by for Server 2013.
Is it assumed that the Windows PC Is running Windows? I have a couple of HP d51s P4 machines running different flavors of linux and a Dell Optiplex something running MythTV. All of those have OEM Windows stickers and might or might not qualify as a "Windows PC", while none of them are actually running Windows.
Maybe the art school knows about laptops and chooses desktops on a cart as technically comparative but sturdier and slightly more inconvenient to encourage students to purchase and subsequently abuse their own laptop.
Amen to this. We just built an annex to our building and I relocated all the servers there. I was asked by administration when I was going to relocate the rest of the servers so the janitors could have their closets back... Nevermind that someone before me thought a good location for network closets are janitor closets, or the fact that there are several hundred wires in these rooms... They are all servers.
SOE?
Society of Engineers?
School of Everything?

Shill of Executives?
So if I have to ask who Colm Meaney is, which card will I be required to turn in?

West Palm Beach (PBI) has always been free. Paid for by the county / city. I've flown in and out of there several times.
Based on the design, it looks like slashdot is marking the occasion too....what....it always looks like this?

Making fun of using the wrong cue by a Microsoft basher is like shooting fish in a barrel.
This is wonderful news! I should have the backing of environmentalists behind my plan of attaching lasers to sharks!
We all know that the real question is will it blend?
Did that site design hurt your eyes too?
I would propose adding a (c) both a & b.
Holy crap that's a huge update. How big is the original install? Sorry for the people on dial-up.

Similar to the boy who cried Confiker!
What do these people do with the other four?
i can't, its over the character limit.
FWIW:
This works great on machines that don't have windows firewall active. If windows firewall is active, you get a "no response" from the script.
