The key word there is "known". in not to recent history (early 1900's) the pituitary gland was thought to be useless. Time and science proved otherwise. I'd rather leave the mosquitoes alone.
Crap! This is a user interface competition? I was hoping it was a theme competition, and was going to suggest a darkish green background with white lettering. I know, kick ass right?
According to ComputerWorld.com this will be a DVD iso and require Vista SP1 to install. So it's an upgrade, not a full install. In my skimming, no mention of Live CD.
My years in Florida also taught me to just agree with the loud New Yorkers...otherwise there will be a lot of crotch grabbing, shouting, chest thumping, and nose wiping with a thumb that you have to deal with. Good times...
Much smaller subset of people, but western MI is the same way. After moving to Michigan from Florida and having never lived in Michigan, I was "welcomed back" by a life long Michigan resident.
I work as an the lone person in the IT department at a school and what you say is true. We have clear standards of what we will accept due to the fact that we were a dumping ground in the past. If I can't use their donation, I give them the contact info for the local e-waste recyclers which accept discards from individuals for free. I also advise them about DBAN and give a copy if need be.
The recycling aspect breaks down without e-waste recyclers in your vicinity.

It's clear that many don't cash the checks, so PayPal would have the privilege of hanging on to $2.56 times the number of people who find mistakes, interest free until they are cashed and then PayPal can collect fees on that too.
There is always the chance that PayPal will freeze his account, with little recourse, and seize the funds.
About as bad as Safari / Quicktime & iTunes, except that it doesn't technically install OO, it just downloads the installer... On the otherhand, it does get the word out about OO.
It's a GUI interface in Visual Basic to see if they can track an IP address. Yes that does take approximately 3000 lines of code, granted 2982 of them are comments explaining why vb was chosen.
Tell them that cookies contain little pieces of information about them and that when the cookies you are giving them are processed, the info can be used to track their activities. Kinda like tracer bullets...or sweet corn.

Here's why she was pissed: she said she wanted a stove right? Wrong. She wanted someone else to do the cooking. She wanted a dishwasher right? No. She wanted someone else to do the dishes.
Clearly with a name like "Snow Leopard" it will: - be released in the winter.
- be targeting the Central Asia market
- given taxonomic debate surrounding the "Snow Leopard", there will be much debate whether this iteration is more closely aligned to the leopard family or the tiger family

There, fixed it for you to more accurately reflect your Cheney reference
