Ok, I just have to ask. What makes you think that console game prices will never go down? I don't see the argument here. So, you don't buy new games on steam. Ok, I won't buy new games on the x-box. Your steam is DRM locked. My x-box will be?
Don't get me wrong, I don't like it. I don't want it. I think it is stupid. I understand why they want it. But how is it different?
Agree. They all collect data on you. Bing asked me to link my web searches to other things. I wonder why they wanted that? Even promised one lucky bloke an x-box 360.
If i spent a lot of money on a high end device because I planned on keeping it for more than a year, I wasted my money. Because my high end device is no longer secure. I my not want there free cheaper phone.
I'm leaving. Because I can't upgrade. Verizon has told me my phone will never get the new OS. I guess it is because it can't support it, but I don't like being stuck with an old OS I can't patch. Yes I don't care what it looks like. I care what is on it.
It is funny you mention that. I was doing some scripting, and didn't think about copy and paste of code that was in the KB for what I was doing. Whoever wrote the KB, put one of those quotes in there. The code read correctly, until I finally spotted that the quotes were slightly curved. Needless to say the code borked repeatable before I finally caught it. I made notes that there was this issue so future people didn't make the same mistake. Guess my fault for copy and paste, but it was the same code over and over for this one solution.
This is Slashdot. Playing fast and loose with the facts and/or not RTFA in order to come up with an anti- Apple, Java, Oracle, Linux, America, World, Space, Mars conclusion so you can prove a pro- Apple, Java, Oracle, Linux, America, World, Space, Mars conclusion is a time-honored tradition around here.
It is funny. If you know how the program works and thinks, the auto formatting can make large document formatting faster. If you fight how the program works, and think it works how others work, you will hate it and think it is broken. YMMV, but simple classes on moderately advanced features in MS Office would make the world of difference.
I'm sure that you only got to watch if you weren't on shift. I know the game was on where I work, but you could only watch on your breaks. I missed the entire second half due to this.
And this is different than apple or android how?
Which makes me wonder if Microsoft was telling the truth? http://tech.slashdot.org/story/13/01/27/0622220/microsoft-blames-pc-makers-for-windows-failure/
Once in the yahoo proverbial back door, I wouldn't be surprised if they got more. I don't know what yahoo's architecture is like though.
I see what you did there. I don't have mod points here though.
I think the joke got lost... I'm just saying.
I agree completely. I'm confused how they claim steam is different. I just don't see it.

Forget hacking, Someone is going to disguise it as a common place object and spy where they shouldn't. . .

The end user. I think that is how they do game production at least.
I would think the sun has a greater role. It pulled the "moon" into the earth so the earth could capture it in the first place. I'm must saying...

I think it is good to note. Think of the late 90's. I remember you had to get a new "PC" every year, if not more to keep up with the latest toys.
I guess this would be the same. Now, should my phone be secure? Yes.

I fixed that for everyone

Wish I could mod you funny.
I get Java free where I work. Of course it is the liquid kind I drink to keep me up all night so I can post on /.
Only a little
I like my dirty pixel. You can't have it.
So you get one button to push? "Update". That would be a funny boot screen. Would it play the wave file "That was easy" when done?
This statement seems to contradict the above statements that home run java apps for entire governments aren't running. I don't know either way.
I want my bank to yank the machines. I don't want my money stolen because you can't plan ahead and visit a branch during business hours.
