Completely agree. Back in my day, if you wanted resources that another country had, you took over that land, even if it meant war. The problem with that is, if we did that today, the earth-worshipers would abruptly put a halt to any rare-earth mining on our newly acquired land. Oh well, never mind. Back to begging the Chinese for them.
Hopefully these new 2000 rail cars can be modified to transport solar and wind energy to bring these Energies of the Future to locations where they are currently unavailable. Even better if the locomotives are corn powered. Or, just grow the corn on the trains using the solar energy they are transporting and we'll have perpetual energy trains.
Uh, as long as its not broken out of the box, like Vista, then I'm sure most corporations that are currently using Windows 7 will upgrade to it. Those companies still using Windows XP probably won't. How do I know? Because they are still using Windows XP.
FreeNAS and OpenFiler let you spread data redundantly across 100 GB and 3 TB drives? I don't think so. Those offer traditional RAID arrays AFAIK, which usually means you only get to use the size of the smallest drive in the array
You kidding? You don't think this is happening everywhere? Freedom is being lost everywhere. It starts at the top. This NC department is just a copy-cat of the FDA
Native BluRay support would be nice, but considering they can't even get DVD playback to work reliably, I'm not counting on it.
Streaming from legit services (hulu, netflix, even YouTube if the SOURCE is good) is fine for me and all my devices. But, it either costs, has ads, or the content isn't current (e.g. Last season is available, but not this season, etc)
I've never seen that, and I've set up dozens of MythTV systems over the years for myself, family and friends, and used different hardware, althouth I usually try to stick to the "known to work" category
Legit question, for several reasons, and I'm a huge MythTV fan, have been for 8+ years, but I still use it. Here's why, and why not:
1.I no longer frequently use the video and music plugins, since so much content is streaming over the Internet or other devices. I have some old DVD/BluRay rips still on it that I sometimes watch.
2. I no longer use it to watch any DVD's, for the same reason above, AND the DVD player in it sucks at playing 50% of the DVDs I have, and it doesn't play BluRays.
3. I still use it constantly for the TV recording features. It's still the best DVR by far than any thing else out there, F/OSS, or commercial. Yes, I understand, lots of you college kids and hippy-types watch everything on Hulu or wherever else on your laptops in the coffee-shops, but I like recording shows, watching them later THAT SAME NIGHT or the next night, AUTO-SKIP commercials, on a big 65" TV in HD. All my HD content is from an antenna - I only watch network shows, no cable, don't need it. So it works perfect for that.
And Ford employees are only giving a discount when buying Ford cars, and only specific Ford cars. It doesn't stop them from buying a different car with their own money for their own personal use.
Interesting, though, that it's only certain departments, not the entire company. Going back to Ford, many of the senior levels I knew were allowed to buy (or at least drive company-owned cars) that were the competition. They claimed it helped them learn about the competition. I have no problem with that.
Agreed. But for someone to summarize what happened, and not include the most blatant obvious fact that people were borrowing more money than they could ever pay back, makes for a ridiculous summary. Blame the government, blame the corporations, but the people are innocent, is pretty lame. Go join the Occupiers....
You missed one very important piece of "For the most part this is what happened...":
People were borrowing more money than they could afford to pay back. It's as simple as that. Nobody forced them to borrow more than they could afford. They were stupid.
You have 3 days to deploy this critical patch throughout production? Are you saying you have RDP exposed on the Internet, or you have in-house employees that are capable of exploiting the flaw? If it's the former, you are in the wrong field and might be better off working in retail or fastfood somewhere. If it's the latter, I truly feel sorry for you - the employees in my office can barely turn a computer on, therefore I don't have to worry much about them exploiting it until I can get around to patching.
And I always thought the rumor was for a 7.625-inch screen.

Once you understand what a Slashvertisement is, you will understand the point of this article.
You answered your own question. The word "Pipeline" is as bad a the word "Nuclear" to the earth-worshipers.
No, the opposite. That's what we are interested in. Hence, the purpose of TFA.
We have it. It's called Uranium.

Because only have 1 option to overcome doesn't sounds nearly as good as overcoming 2 obstacles.
The logical next step for the RIAA is to block the use and sale of speakers.
Why should they pay to fix your mistakes?
Once the client signs-off on it, they accept the bugs as well as the features.

I, for one, welcome our Liberal/Progressive/Socialist/Communist Overlords! Go Hope and Change (tm)(r)(c)!!!
Download the forms, read the instructions, and fill them out. Forms are free. What's the problem?
Oh, you can't understand the instructions? Well, stop VOTING IN THE MORONS YOU KEEP VOTING IN OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
The tax form should look like this:
1. Income: _____
2. Multiple line 1 by 10% (or some other percent...)
3. This is your total tax: ______

Now that is A Modest Proposal...
If you had a Dodge you had to walk to work cause your car was in the shop.
