...so can we consider this an update of a 'flying carpet'?
holy crap! it just struck me that the so called flying carpet was some advanced alien technology and that the conspiracy theorists are right about alien contact in ancient times!
Normally I would agree with you. The US the big bully etc. But the rest of the world doesn't want an unstable Libya because Europe will be affected negatively. So we protect ourselves YES that's what anyone would do! (Europe and US are together). Moreover, the goverment of Libya seems to be no saint and they kill their own people. So we also protect others in the meantime. Ofcourse, if we were not affected by this, we wouldn't give a flying fuck about it.

I haven't tried it but my idea is drag quick from the titlebar for a split of a second downwards for minimize, and drag quick for a split of a second upwards for maximize. Try it is not hard. Also you save mouse movement if you have a big screen and you dont want to move the mouse all the way to the upper corner.
Progress= People have to be scared of less things, feel too cold or too hot less often, get a comfortable amount of sleep, can satisfy their various primal hungers (food, water, sex
you guys don't get it...
it's a FEATURE! you see, hippies don't go to work on new year's day because their alarm didn't work. what other company does that?!
I have published a couple of papers. And with all of my statistical analysis and academia BS, at least I find this paper much more inspiring than my own. Science is not only about statistics you know. This paper can have more impact than you think.
Dude. His picture is now on/.. His picture can go on the newspapers and any other media. If I was the victim I would fucking post it everywhere. At least the chances of someone calling the police would increase.
Moreover, do you know that social networks are small-world networks and highly clustered (six degrees of separation and all). With some social network analysis I could increase my chances even more. With facebook even more!.
It's all a matter of perspective: my dad tying his shoelaces would have been a major achievement, considering he had Parkinson's diseases.
Historically speaking, and for man-kind... we don't care about your dad (unless there was a medicine involved which cured him, but that would make the newspaper so it wouldn't be a boring day after all).
At least they could breathe and had water when the colonized America.
Well look at that! Now the new generation have something to say to the older ones:
In our days we don't even have air to breathe when we explore.... and we like it that way!

It's considered rude to speak something other than English anywhere.
Umm... We disagree.

You must be in management because you have no idea how to do that yet you think it's a great idea.

In Gnome 4 they will also remove windows since they take up so much space. Simple command-liners are much faster and make more sense right?
Maximize all your windows by default, that's what I do.
I have a 25 inch monitor you insensitive clod.
you are so good at criticising while you have no idea what good will come out from this project, nor what has been learnt from the research behind it.
Make all the fun you want, but if you walk everyday to work and most women look like this: http://www.google.com/images?um=1&hl=en&safe=off&q=swedish+women, that will change your mind about Sweden's laws.

well I for one as a hard-core geek I have tatooed the periodic table on my back. Now that sucks.
It also sucks that I can only read it through two mirrors but that's something else entirely.

Not Even Wrong points us to the arxiv prepublication for those of you well versed in Greek
As the article is written in English, I'm trying to understand why you wrote that.

Is there any reason why you should text a 911 responder instead of just calling them?

To be honest, the grass is greener here than on the other side (my neighbour), but somehow theirs looks more natural to me...
