A perfect parallel! The Daleks are an awesome enemy, but once they're defeated two or three times a season, the threat starts to wane. Besides, they all look like bloated, hump-backed iMacs now anyway. :P

I think you need to move out of the suburbs and take a real look at the state of broadband through the country. There are tons of people that want broadband but can't get it. Of course, I wouldn't expect a yuppie like you to realize that... I'm sure you're too busy mowing your lawn and waxing your SUV.

If you could play as a terrorist in AA, there would be articles in newspapers about how US tax payers money was spent on making a "murder simulator" where you take the role of a terrorist and kill American Soldiers.

Isn't it already a murder simulator? Oh right, I forgot... murder in a uniform is heroic, but in a costume it's a crime.

That would be true for any product displaying the Third Reich's version of a swastika. Germany is very funny when it comes to that period of their history. It's understandable, but also kind of ironic given the extent of related censorship.

  15. Re:Maybe, maybe not? on Do Developers Really Need a Second Monitor? · · Score: 1

Hardly. I simply am not aware of what different coders would need or want. I am mainly focused on graphics (outside of some HTML/CSS type of stuff) and having a second monitor is damn near essential. Of course, I'm primarily looking at work print renders in realtime. I don't know what coders would look at before compiling... unless they want to check performance and debugging options.

Hence the "perhaps not". That equates just as easily to "perhaps so".

  16. Maybe, maybe not? on Do Developers Really Need a Second Monitor? · · Score: 0

Coders? Perhaps not. It is however a must for any kind of graphic design, video editing, 3D modeling, etc. Having your full, finished product up on one monitor while you edit and tool around on the other makes for a more productive experience.
