I became much more aware of what was happening on cross streets, and in lanes other than mine.
Being aware of surroundings is so imperative to safe driving. No matter how fast you are going, if you aren't paying attention to your surroundings then you can easily cause an accident even at slow speeds.
For example, if I see a friend driving by somewhere that I am walking, I'll wave to them or something and it's sad when you can see that they don't even notice you at all. Not recognize me but not even see that a person is walking nearby waving their arms about like a lunatic!
When I drive I am constantly paying attention to pedestrians, and all cars in the lanes around me. Paying attention to slight motions to anticipate their actions. Always being ready for anything.
The only thing keeping cars from crashing in to me is a bunch of people not paying attention, so excuse me for not trusting that I can just safely barrel down the highway.
Whiskey doesn't have hops in it. And in the case of Scotch is pete smoked, and aged in barrels. Freeze distillation has been around in beers for a while. You ever try Natty Ice? Normal ice beers aren't distilled to hit anything above 7%.
well, think about it this way. There are different kinds of better. There is the better where the movie is actually good (but that is subjective). And the better where the movie makes a shit ton of money from popularity(that is objective data).
I only had said that winning the oscar doesn't mean it's a better film. It just means some people judging your film deemed it the best. I thought hurt locker was a shit movie. There were many other movies that were better.
So yes, I am claiming that popularity does win in a way. That winning causes art and things to evolve. The music that doesn't get popular usually doesn't get made! That's why music eras have different styles. That's why so many comic book movies are being made now. You can say, yes that they are made because they are making the money but they are making the money because they are popular.
At the end of the day the lesson learned is "It sucks to lame." If you want people to like your product (by paying for it) then you need to make it good. Winning best picture is NOT proof that most people will buy your film! Thats just the academy saying its the best, not the masses that pay for movies.
Guitierrez: So... graphite bars charged with negative ions. That is your weakness, eh?
Freakazoid: That, or poo gas.
Guitierrez: You know, it's a funny thing. Nobody likes poo gas, my friend. Blagh!
you will never get to pilot a fighter jet unless you go through the difficult career path of becoming an airforce pilot. You also have to be physically fit for it. Flying a Cessna is not quite the same as an F-16. Also some people just wanna play the game instead of actually flying. Also back then I was a lot younger and probably couldn't get my parents to let me get a pilots license.
I want to know why they act this way? What kind of idiot thought that such horrible business practices would be a good idea? Is it to "protect" their franchise? Do people actually graduate from business school anymore or do they just take some classes and remember their lessons just long enuff to get that paper? WTF! I hate life.
hmm yea, thats true. I haven't spent too much time with the other android phones. The iPhone is just a hair too big but I think its just the thickness. My iPod Touch feels like the perfect size.
Yes, Android is starting to become the mobile OS I'd hoped it was. It's just not quite there yet.
I just looking at the different offerings and Apple just has the package that works right out the box, does it smoothly and doesn't seem to have huge problems. Other than the problems they stir up intentionally of course. For a device that gives the average non geeky user that kind of mobile power without inundating them with technicalities I still see it as a great device.
If I could have an iPhone with Android on it and it be really slick nice and have no problems at all I could be happy. Just need a larger app library to choose from. I do like the Apple hardware over the pile of HTC phones out there.
Though you have to admit, a smooth responsive UI does effect productivity on a device. You are mentally going through functions more smoothly with less stress. It does matter. The problem of course with the iPhone is the lock down. The Android has had a slow time getting traction and one big reason is the that the UI is more clunky than the iPhone UI.
Yes being geeky and such you want to see all the file system and guts of the machine but at the end of the day it's better to be able to hide all that and have a sleek setup to just do the things you need to be done without fuss. Without having to get hackey to do them. So, the iPhone can become much better if it is opened up just a bit more but we know that won't happen.
In my opinion Google never seems to get the idea of smooth UI. That's why Android is clunky. They are all engineers so of course they design things how they think things should work. Function over form, as opposed to a balance between the two. I still prefer to use MS Office products over Google's offerings just because of UI. The functions Google provides are great but they aren't that great.
I think I'm done with this rant. I meant to just post a sentence!
Make sure you keep the camp fire burning through the night and sleep with your eyes open! It's said that the Cheney still lurks in these woods! BOOGAABOOOGAABOOOO!!!!!
Football already has the measurement of yards built in. In futbol this measurement is not used in the game so looking at it this way is interesting.

Avatar was pretty crap. It was also pretty. It was just the industry flexing its muscles in tech. I did go pay to see some new tech.

zero-price. It does cost a lot to bring us the browser.
oh man so true. You might as well have to pay a "faculty fee" for them to deal with it.
Facebook's end users are advertisers. The people with accounts are the product.

yea, it is a super niche market but you know, it was still awesome. The last good sim I played was like Janes F-15.
like back when the falcon games were around? People stopped making full on flight sims. It's sad.

Everyone's business model has been disrupted by the advent of the internet.

I think he was confused on the difference between the data of the instances of objects versus art assets or the actual 3d objects to be rendered.
one step closer to living in the world of Hackers. Just gotta find my old roller blades now...
