If cable monopolies were broken up the government would have to then take ownership of the lines. The whole reason we have these crazy de facto monopolies is due to ownership of lines. There are a lot of companies out there but none of them play on each others' turf. There needs to be access to more than one cable provider in the same area or more than one fios or dsl or whatever format.

I agree with you whole heartedly. I am a Go player, so I understand that strategy and intuition come in to play with this type of game where "war" is concerned. The most advanced Go programs can't defeat a low level player. Being able to look at the board as a whole and not a series of spaces seems to be beyond these AI. In Starcraft I would imagine that an AI can't plan ahead for the types of actions a human would take. Being able to micro manage and deal with skirmishes and build orders and such is just a mechanical action. Just the basics of combat. Placement, actions, and timing of such is what matters. Not just that you send out a group to attack but where and when matter in the whole of the match. Planning ahead, asserting influence, being creative. These are the abilities humans have over the AI.

These days being a techy or being a car guy crosses over. I can't believe you friend argues that carbs are better than EFI! Yes carbs are more manly cuz you can go in there and just tune it with your hands and it sounds awesome and smells badass. But carbs gotta be tuned all the time and arent exact and can't be controlled on the fly during the whole engine range. Computers can do that for us. Also electronic parts don't need to be tuned. You just replace! Easy as pie.
People just don't wanna have to learn something that they have no clue about. It makes me sad that there seems to be so many more people these days that dont know shit about computers. Like the kids now dont know shit! people think they should cuz they are all texting or using devices and such but all they are doing is using stuff. Knowing how stuff works is a trait that should be more popular but it is not.
