Creating black using the other colors: but this particular printer, the Canon ix6800 specifically has TWO black cartrages, one called pigment black and the other some other kind of black so they can have the blackest black anyoneâ(TM)s ever seen. I would think itâ(TM)s already plenty black without adding the three other colors to make it black.
Iâ(TM)m annoyed by that. I wish I could just put black in all the other color slots. Then it really would be even blacker.
Screen Printer here! Laser doesn't work on transparent 13x19 sheets, and I need to print those daily:)
Whats even more annoying is that even though I have everything set to black and white, and I literally only print black - my color ink cartridges run out a little faster than the black ones on my canon printer. Sneaky bastards.
My new D5600 Nikon camera, cost something in the $700 range, for instance, has a sensor of 24.2 megapixels. But the tippety top of the line Nikon DSLR, the D5, which costs almost $7,000 only has a 20 megapixel sensor, but obviously can take way better pictures because of the PHYSICAL size of the sensor.. More dynamic range, faster exposure, blah blah blah.
Then of course there are lenses that will never be practical for a phone but have way more to do with a good picture than the quality of a sensor.
And yet my life has changed perceptively zero as a result of those truths. With the exception of maybe the ads I see are more likely to be stuff Im potentially interested in. And I love to buy stuff!
Put the chip in me.
Not that I think the trend has reversed in the last 8 years, but still.. I haven't seen a present day Slashdot post citing info that was nearly a decade old in a way that makes it sound recent in a while!
Do they make a car where you cant either turn the key off, or shift it into neutral or just pull up the emergency brake???
Also, if he was already stuck going 125 by the time he got ahold of the police, how did they ever catch him??
Im suspicious of this whole story.
The apple remote uses ultraviolet light, doesn't it? If you point it at a webcam you can see it light up, but when you look at it you can't... So you can have someone use it to signal things for various reasons.. Shrug.
Coat the inside of the dish with something highly reflective, they make a sticky-back mirror-surface film, find the focal length, and you can smelt your own iron!! Or what ever else people with large parabolic mirrors do.
I don't particularly care if the world at large knows that Im "Headed to the Gym" or that Im 31 years old.. My 'private' information is harmless.. Sure you can see that I like to play kickball or that I recently took a cruise and had an awesome time.. I dont see how its dangerous for a company to sell my status updates or my interest in apple computers. Its not like Im tweeting my bank account number, or posting my passwords to my embarrassing adult dating site profile on my "wall"... Let them see and sell my info.. WHO CARES?
You want to talk about damning personal info, open a yellow pages phone book... there are directions to your front door right in there.. heh.
Hmmm.. I imagine that if I had 29 BILLION dollars burning a hole in my pocket, I might consider buying the single most talked about web trend in current times; if for nothing more than to make my parent company among the most talked about things in current times. Good business sense.
It's strange that you tell your friends when you're going #2.. I, for one, use it to set up where to be with my friends.. When to be at kickball.. And ask for favors, without having to text 20 people individually.
It's actually quite useful, when it's used in a way that is useful.

My boat has no lasers. In fact, I dont even have a boat. I have a Geo Tracker; also no lasers.
This is like a lower resolution version of something that I've had on my iphone for a year already... Weird. Ever heard of 123d Catch by Autodesk????

Wow! Thats an enormous waste of money! They make $22,000 routers? What could they possibly do that like an Airport Extreme can't? heh.

Says my 18 year old cousin, from his college dorm room.

Aren't all iPhone to iPhone calls made without using minutes anyways??? Why bother making sure both parties are running an app?

Did they drop the use of power point?
Have they stopped labeling hallways?
Do the teachers not write information on the white board?
Does anyone wear a name tag?
Have they gotten rid of laptops?
Do they not use worksheets?
Are other students not allowed to take notes in class?
Did they outlaw pens and pencils?

It would, at the very least, make for a much better Tweet App on my iPhone....
