This. The last thing we need are people feeling pressured by an outside organization (looking at you Unions *and* employers). Some may already feel pressured one way or another but there is not way for an outside source to confirm a third party vote. This is terrible and had better be overturned.
It didn't look like they were talking about installing OS X on it. But, it does use the Intel DH61AG motherboard, which is easily used for a hackintosh.
Okay, I'll buy that. A lot of this debate does come down to personal choice. I have much more confidence in Apple's walled garden (which is a massive garden, btw) as opposed to the chaos that seems to plague Android.

Seems to me that's exactly what it is. Part of it is design philosophy, too, of course.
There has to be a balance between free/open and secure. When it comes to phones, Apple almost nailed it right on. I think they could relax just a tad, but overall they got it right. I don't see Google getting it right any time soon.
In the clinical lab arena we have already had pregnancy-style HIV tests for years. This is nothing new. Good to see it come to the home, though. This will be much cheaper for people.
Correct about iMessage. However, the goal was to allow iPhone users to decrease their text message plan and AT&T once again screwed it's customers and made it unlimited only.
Government needs to get out of the business of supplying endless money to students. This is the exact reason why college tuition has skyrocketed in recent years. Universities don't have to care about keeping expenses low, they just need to feed all the students through the government loan line effectively. If loans had to be secured only through private means or at LEAST the gov loans were very low, universities would have to lower prices to keep getting new students.
Just because Apple didn't help change your living room does't mean it didn't change a lot of others'. Between Apple and Netflix the cable company lost my business. And I'm not the only one.
Oh don't interpret my comment (as some mods did) as negative or attacking Google. I'm completely for this. Competition is good. I hope they continue this type of relationship (without the lawsuits) to spur competition and keep making better products and services.
The electoral college is necessary to balance power between large and small states. Civics education in this country is going down the pooper.

Chord progressions have been held to be non-copyrightable. Melodies on the other hand are a different story.
The article is about a similar form factor to an iMac, not running OS X.

Apple has shown prototypes that predate Samsung's. But, regardless, I agree with you--Apple needs to get smacked down a bit on this one.
That's when you click the "Reader" button in Safari.
The ice age is coming
I'm pretty sure the latest Ice Age is already in theaters.
You heard of Borders, yes? Not 100% Amazon's doing, but it sure contributed.
Instead of buying new hardware, spend a few minutes in Terminal and run Mt Lion on your unsupported Mac anyways: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1325818

I wasn't talking about source code.

The iTunes app store for iOS. And I did mean "bit".
Quickoffice has some of the worst reviews for an office app on iOS. 1-2 stars. I would think Google could afford something a but better.

Between them and OTA broadcast, it meets MY needs. Three cheers to you for not being exactly like me.

I don't think it would infringe, but it is certainly Google's "me too" moment of the day.
And of course, now I HAVE to do it...
