  1. It's not a planet. on New 'Planet' Discovered in Solar System · · Score: 1

According to the article this large rock falls short of the defenition of a planet. Shoot some people don't consider pluto a planet. If we call every large rock in the solar system a planet then there is a good chance there a dozens perhaps hundreds of planets out there. Yea think 3.6 billion is far, I wouldn't be surpised if they start finding "planets" 50 billion out there Still I like the idea of there be more planets out there.

  5. Do moniters support this? on 3dfx' Voodoo5 6000 Still Alive · · Score: 1

Ok how many people have moniters that can do 1600x1400?

This will require some serious cash to get a moniter that can take advantage of the newest video cards.

That and the roughly $600 dollars for the card; who can afford all this anyway?

I got the Geforce DDR for $300 and I thought that was insanly expenesive. No way I am spending ($600 + ($500 to $1000)) dollars just to play at resolutions that don't look THAT much better then 1024x768.

  7. PC or Game Console on Will The X-Box Be A TiVO Rival? · · Score: 2

Ok help me clarify this, Is this a Game console or a PC that hooks up to a tv? The X-box not the Tivo. The specs on this thing are very similar to my own computer setup. VERY similar for that matter. Nvidia Graphic's card, 128 ram 40 gigs of storage) Hmm wonder if I hook my computer up to a TV can I call it an X box? Course I would then be sued by Microsoft for Copyright Infrigment and thrown in jail for all time. :)

  8. Stoping mp3's on "Fingerprinting" of Audio Files? · · Score: 2

So how long before MPAA starts trying to use this to stop mp3's. Imagine mpaa using this to track who stole what song?, maybe a uniqe tumbprint on every CD. Tech wise that would be kinda of hard.

Who in there right mind anounces new stuff when they can't handle their current orders. A. Marketing people for starters.

This kind of technology would us be seriously in danger of doing nothing but annoying the end user. Ever gotten into a fight with Microsoft Word over some formating issues? It can be dang near impossible to get it to do what you want because it is being so helpfull.
Still if ever got impletmed correctly, and wasn't annoying, it would be nice.
