Often times even when you're doing something that's absolutely legal, you're still being an asshole. If you've got an open platform and you let people post anything that's legal, but then you inject your morals into it and ban them from posting things you personally disagree with, that's being an asshole. What would you say here if instead of banning content containing nudity, they banned content showing any support for feminism, or for the rights of minorities, or they banned any religious content except that of Christianity?

In order for it to be collateral damage, it has to be, well, collateral. Do you actually read what you're replying to? Let me point you to the part you missed: purposefully targeting ... unarmed civilians. As far as your cute line about war = terrorism, did you miss the memo regarding it being illegal to kill noncombatants in modern day wars? Unless you were just being an ass, here, educate yourself: http://hnn.us/articles/1345.html

You call them terrorists, they call them freedom fighters. It's a matter of perspective. Get some.

I think you're a bit confused. There is nothing stopping a person from being a freedom fighter and a terrorist at the same time. The first term refers to why they're doing what they're doing. The second refers to how they do it. So while Hamas may (it's rather questionable. but so are many other things) be fighting for freedom, how they do it (purposefully targeting, attacking and executing unarmed civilians) makes them terrorists.

Well, XP was like a SP for 2000, but 2000 was already good. Vista was a huge overhaul for XP, but Vista is slow, buggy, and in many respects simply annoying. Win 7... seems to be a SP for Vista. I'm not sure, I haven't tried it yet. But I think you're missing the point. The reason people complain re Vista and Win7 is because of Vista's suckage, not because something is an SP or a huge overhaul. There will always be a few people who do complain because of something new or something old, but if something really sucks, most people will complain for that specific reason.

My university has an alert system similar to the one described by the above poster. Once something happens on campus (fire, shooting, whatever) we get calls and sms messages on our phones. They are, actually, pretty useful. Should the phones then be completely turned off in classrooms? Yes, prior to cell phones we either didn't get any notice or maybe there was a siren. This isn't a reason to ignore the advanced technology we have now because sometimes its uses are impolite.

I seriously fail to understand why he's getting upmodded for such a retarded, bigoted, blind statement. We Americans may aspire to be something better, but we're nowhere close to it.

Especially illogical is this part "if they were they would have peace and security." Besides Israel, there are enough examples of countries with equal rights for everyone where (generally) Muslims choose to physically force their views upon others. A good example of this happened recently in Norway, where a Muslim couple-husband and wife-chose to beat up a young woman at a mall because she wasn't dressed as a young woman should dress.

IMHO, everyone hates Americans precisely because of idiots like jack_n_jill.
