The problem with religious vs non religious debates is that they are often taken on in situations where neither side is qualified to argue. Your definition of infinity shows that you are not qualified.
Honestly, I prefer the Microsoft world more than anything else simply because I realize the competition is lower. All the brainiacs are willing to slave away 80 hours a week at google to support their software ideology. I'm just trying to make as much money as I can now so I can do what I want later.
I used Linux since I was 12. When I was 22 after college I got a job programming C#/.NET on Windows. I am now 25. I haven't looked back once or miss my Linux days. Can't we just agree that some people like different environments?
Your argument on being able to cross over to different OS's coming from Linux is true. But really, Microsoft guys are safe in not ever needing to cross over.
most ads are pulled from outside sites. this won't be the case for very long. I wasn't saying facebook uses the technique of local ads. I was saying that if they needed to they could. Once advertisers catch on. There are a LOT of venture capital startups right now investing in software that tracks what a real click is and are people really seeing the ads and such... A couple more years and it will be much more difficult to have a program like adblock.
adblock won't kill facebook. if anything facebook has the advantage. they can store ads locally, obfuscating the manner in which they appear. paying people to verify your ads show up on a plethora of other sites can be costly...
I don't think the dangers of software are that analogous to walking through downtime and midnight. I think that it's closer to banging a prostitute. The more attractive ones are the most dangerous and you may not know the ramifications of your actions until much later on. You could be spreading viruses to others for sometime with out knowing it, all because of one stupid mistake. OH GOD CINDY PLEASE FORGIVE ME, TAKE ME BACK, I AM SO SORRY!!!
The ICANN TDL violates most OPEC standards of INTA established by NATA quite a few years after WWII. Clearing up the NDF ASAP would be easier than using SSA. BTW I am SWM w/ 4BR1B seeks SWF w/ BMW and large 401k.
If the internet gets so bad that I can't even use it anymore, maybe I will make some time to use that PS3 I bought. This reminds of when I was a kid and didn't want to go to heaven because I couldn't have sex. I thought that there couldn't possibly be anything better. I don't think anyone is going to destroy the internet, and if they do their will always be someone lined up to offer you something better. There's always a demand for better.
I heard this game stop manager went to MIT. But seriously, every time I go into Gaystop they make me feel like the loser because I haven't played such and such game. Not everyones mother has a nice basement ok.
Being a good software engineer is a synergy of interest, discipline, and IQ... Making money in this field is a combination of being a great software engineer as well as a carefully planned career path.
Benjamin Franklin didn't hang around Muslim extremists. He didn't have his country hijacked by a regime that would kill his wife for showing too much ankle. Certainly you don't believe that all quotes of the past are applicable in modern times. If we want to figure out how to handle these blood seeking radicals, I don't think Ben is the best man for the job.
IT is different from a lot of other fields because it takes a life long commitment to learning the new. As soon as you step out of college you realize you are already behind. I think the issue here is that a lot more men truly have a passion for this geeky stuff, where as most women may look at it as more of a career choice. If my job was to write gossip columns in a magazine I think I would have to kill myself, even if I had a degree in journalism. But a lot of women would love it and succeed in the field, but only a few men would be able to.
I think it's time we have a password instead of a pin.
What's hilarious is that, if this PIN was called a password, it would be way to insecure. Some people might want to have crappy passwords, some of us will choose to memorize something longer. Of all the passwords I can think about, I think my PIN would be the last one I would want someone to have, yet it's the least secure.
My internet is wireless, configuration-less,always connected, high speed, cross platform, cross-device, accessible by even the simplest devices.
Access/Infrastructure not controlled by single corporations??? I think I know what you mean but currently there are several corporations controlling it.
This internet fad is about to die.
BTW, it's kind of funny how close this is to an article about the next web bubble bursting... It seems like to me we would need a lot of programmers to work on the next internet.
This kid will get all the chicks.

I was wondering who watched that channel!

I think you fall on the other end of the stupid spectrum.
Microsoft would love to say XP was a blunder. It would just help promote Vista...amirite??
The real irony is that your girlfriend IS a vista app!
That is why I always do my online banking BEFORE I browse for porn

Actually I never even heard of Spore.
