    Probably because they have failed to make a non-portable unit that doesn't overheat. Anyone in here imagine them making a smaller enclosure that doesn't overheat? Not I.

    Anyway, Ben makes some pretty cool mods, stuff I wish I had the time and money to do.

    I wouldn't want that anywhere near my water supply, 10 years later if that stuff flakes off, that could do some nasty stuff to your digestive system.

    Yes and no. I was running an E6600 dual core 2.4ghz chip at 3ghz no problem (this is a very common overclock for that chip). I ended up clocking it back to 2.4 to save electricity since I wasn't noticing a huge increase in system performance.

    Maybe they won't sniff out the nitrogen (I'm not even sure that it is even sniffable, there is ton of it in the air- not exactly a weird element to have around). But they will likely catch the massive hollow copper beam they are using for a heat sink and at least want to check your bag.

    As funny as this may sound in the headline, it does appear to potentially be a legitimate and interesting medical condition. Why was this posted in Idle? We see crap every day that should have been put in Idle, but i'm not sure if this is the case.

    There are arguably different pros and cons to all three operating systems, so why not have all three if you have the space? This is slashdot, the question is not why, but why not.

    Also, a lot of people don't just buy macs for the operating system but for the optimized rock solid hardware- please no flamewar.

    I also had the luxury to pass through a Las Cruces, NM Border Control Checkpoint.
    Earlier this year, Three friends and I packed into a Pontiac Vibe went down Route 66, and ended up crossing from Phoenix over to Roswell.
    I guess when we passed through the checkpoint we were only about 20 miles from the border, here is precisely how the stop went:

    (Soldier holding machine gun doesn't even approach vehicle as we pull up)
    Soldier: (Yells) Y'all American Citizens?
    Us: (Pause and reply) Yes
    Soldier: (Yells) Okkaaayy

    We leave.

    Is because unlike our cellphones/pdas which have the same functionality, this is a clamshell design that looks like a shrunken laptop.

    You might be able to tell that that lady is sunbathing in the nude, but not actually see anything.

    So if you had a resolution of 50cm, you wouldn't see a 'lady sunbathing in the nude' you'd see 1x4 to 2x4 block of colored pixels.

    Why would I want to use satellite imagery, that's what street view is for!
