your speakers need to be rated at better than the amplifier's peak power

    No.

The easiest way to destroy speakers is to have too "small" amplifier (one without enough power), not too big.

Reason: when amplifier is pushed to the limit it will clip (or worse) which will create a lot of high frequencies which will burn the (relatively low rated) high frequency element.

With high enough power your ears will control your brains which will control the remote which will control the amplifier power - down.
This very usually happens before any speaker element is destroyed (but not always). The effect on your ears is left as an non-exercise for the reader.

Furthermore you might want to investigate what has happened to uranium mines in France.

We need nuclear (to replace coal), but it cannot be the only solution, we need wind, solar, etc. Most importantly we need to stop wasting energy.

Nor is there (likely) any requirement for international or even inter-ISP traffic.
Then there might be no penalties or the penalties are something like "50% of the monthly payment" if the speed is not reached.

I am even more doubtful with the 100M, at the moment even in cities ADSL2+ is often unavailable (I've got 8000/992).

Not necessarily. Java is by a wide margin the most widely deployed platform but it does not have correspondingly big developer base.

Partly this is due to differences in phones, partly lack of development platforms in past, and partly lack of resources (memory, cpu, in past again).

But I think mostly it is due to poor support in the platform. For example I'd like to run VNC viewer (application) through SSH (application) - most phones do not support running two applications at the same time.

It is similar to Symbian in many ways.

This has now changed due to Android and N900. And hopefully with iPhone in the future.
