    Personally, even when I'm using a bracketed language, I fix any copy and pasted code that uses different indentation than the rest of the code. It's a good coding practice. So when time came to learn Python, things like that didn't bother me since I was fixing the indentation anyway.

    Renewable suorces are cost effective and running wind or solar farms is certainly profitable, but the question is whether they can supply all the needed power.

    No, and neither can nuclear, coal or oil. We need a plurality of energy sources.

    The is a worldwide surplus of food. Famine only occurs where local food supplies fail and outside supplies are impeded, usually by war. And FYI, we export at least as much food as we consume.

    Let the market decide, not a group of politicians paid off by lobbyists from the money they're lobbying to get.

    Tesla agrees. They've been very public about their opposition to the bailout. But if there is going to be one, Tesla should get money too.

    You see, I can't even begin to help you until you concede that if a tool gets the job done, it's a good tool.

    I can hammer a nail in with my fist. But I wouldn't call my fist a good tool for hammering nails. It works, but it's not pleasant.

    Spreadsheets could have been patented, had patents existed when they were invented. In fact the first software patent ever had to so with spreadsheets.

    In an article about web development, you expect the fact IE sucks to not be brought up? That would be like talking about WWII without talking about Hitler or any of the bad things he did.

    Usually that is covered in the relevant NDA/non-compete agreements. That's usually the entire point of them.

    Are there any patents involved? If not, and there is no non-compete agreement you're in the clear. You can only copyright a specific implementation, not the entire concept. That's what patents are for.

    Have you ever worked on 3 or 4 pages at once that all needed to be tested in a different browsers? It's a PITA, especially if some of the browsers don't support tabs (IE6). That's a ton of windows and tabs to keep track of in addition to any other pages you have up. Anything that can simplify that task is welcome in my book.

    In your will.

    2. How are you going to give access to the passwords, etc. needed to access those sites in a way that doesn't cause a security concern while you're still alive?

    By leaving your will with your lawyer.

    If an OEM advertises non-microsoft desktops, they must pay full price for Windows licenses. Apple gets around this by being their own OEM and doing their own advertising.
