  9. Not that easy on Watermarking to Replace DRM? · · Score: 1

I guess is maybe not that easy, video compression or encryption can make it harder, changing the bits necesary will change other parts of the video or music, the process will be: decompress the videos, compare videos, change bits, compress. It should take too much time and disk space for HD video.

  10. Old news on Attacking Sandboxes · · Score: 4, Informative

Theres a simple detection program called RedPill that probes a simple method to do so, vmware leaves a lot of registry keys on windows, VirtualBox lacks supports for hardware breakpoints, cpu cycles counts is another way to detect virtualization, and some packed malware dont even run on virtual machines because of memory management, software packed with armadillo do not run on vbox and it used to fail on vmware player until they fixed that bug.

"Thwarting Virtual Machine Detection" is a nice paper on virtual machine detection.

I dont think blender code is that arcane, i know Tom was doing some rewriting, they are aware that the core needs updates and they are doing it, it just needs time. Game engine was coded again with a different engine, render path it hink got updated too.
