...I plan to buy one of the 128MB units with the addon 20GB hard drive in the near future...
just checked the site for neuros.. the 128mb unit ($229) costs more than the 256mb iriver ifp ($185) i bought in jan. the 20gb hd addon is a cool feature tho, and the bundle is a great deal.. hd addon is $399, bundle $418..
personally, i'd rather have an iriver w/ vorbis support, because the design of the device (of any iriver, not just the flash based) is so much better..
Adderall is a mix of four amphetamines used to combat Attention Deficit Disorder and Narcolepsy. It was originally prescribed to the obese as a hunger suppressant under a different name.
Sounds like it might be similar to the Dizipramine(sp?) I was put on for ADHD/depression. Damn stuff had no affect on me mentally, but I dropped 30 pounds.. I had a high metabolism to start with, and the Dizipramine sent it through the roof! Going from 120 to 90 pounds in the span of a month is not fun.
If you check out the article here, you'll see that SCO isn't just claiming future sales are unlicensed.
SCO said that the termination of the AIX license means that all IBM Unix customers also have no license to use the software. "This termination not only applies to new business by IBM, but also existing copies of AIX that are installed at all customer sites. All of it has to be destroyed," Sontag said.
SCO is claiming that everyone, everywhere has to destroy their copies of AIX. I hope, for everyone's sake, that IBMs claims about the license being irrevocable are true.
Screw MS Flight Sim.. I want the "take control of the plane in case of emergency" Excel spreadsheet.
(reference to an old Dilbert comic - One of the gang tells the boss *not* to turn off his laptop so it can be used in case of emergency. As the plane is going down in flames, the flight attendant is yelling at him to turn off the laptop to which he replied "No! I have to save the plane! Can I do that in Excel?" - Wish I could find a link, but the Dilbert archives seem to be gone..)
the most recent version of cdrecord can burn without using ide-scsi emulation. now all we need is for the front ends to know that and support dev=ATAPI.
as far as gta:vc, zelda, and mario are concerned, they're a bit too new. iirc, gta3 was supposed to be one, but because of the controversy it got pulled.
halo will never be because it's the game that's making money for xbox.. why make less on it? (ok.. it'll prolly be added when halo 2 comes out)
I stopped going to IGN for my daily entertainment news fix because of their stupid ads. Every other click would take you to a full page ad (usually flash). If you tried to click thru before the ad was finished loading, it would just start over.
either way, i think they could've helped themselves by putting a heat spreader on the cpu like they do for the opteron and intel does for the p4. that would serve three purposes: 1) help with the cooling by providing a larger contact point for the heatsink, 2) prevent the problem of crushed cores they had with some heatsinks, and 3) prevent the shorts that the particles in artic silver can cause.
AMD isn't saying you can't use thermal grease at all. It's trying to limit what you use. They are evidentally having problems with thermal greases that contain conductive particles (like the Arctic Silver grease) shorting out the processors. Unfortunately, a lot of enthusiasts and overclockers use that type of thermal grease becuase it *does* transfer the heat to the heatsink better.
Your 'WacDonalds' reminds me of the fast food joint in 'Coming to America'.
"Look... me and the McDonald's people got this little misunderstanding. See, they're McDonald's... I'm McDowell's. They got the Golden Arches, mine is the Golden Arcs. They got the Big Mac, I got the Big Mick. We both got two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions, but their buns have sesame seeds. My buns have no seeds."
Miyazaki did a Lupin film (Castle of Cagliostro) which helped boost the popularity of the series, but the characters were created by Monkey Punch. Lupin almost has Dragonball Z longevity and popularity (~230 episodes, 10 TV movies, and 6 theatrical movies). Miyazaki is only responsible for *one* piece of the pie (although a very notable piece).
that's because fox was losing the rights to it, so they put out a quick release just to make a few bucks off those who aren't patient enough for the disney releases now that they have the rights to it.
The retail price is normally double, at least, of the wholesale price => $25.
Sony takes in about $12.50 from the sale of the game to the stores.
The wholesale price is normally double+ of the profit price. => $12.50
Depending on the royalty arrangement, Sony will probably end up taking another 20% of this: $2.50 or so.
So, after all is said and done:
Store: $25
Sony: $12.50 + $2.50 => $15.00 / game
sorry to burst your bubble, but retailers pay quite a bit more for the games than your figures. i work for suncoast and get the employee discount at best buy which is 5% over cost across the board (wish it was nice and simple like my discount at suncoast).
some things that works great on (i've gotten minor computer parts for up to 90% off the retail price), but on games i only save 5-10 dollars depending on the game (for ps2 games, haven't bought any xbox or gcn games, so i can't compare the prices there). that works out to roughly $40 per game as the cost for the store.
ok.. i'll bite..
what's on channel 42?
there has got to be a channel 42 on geek run tv..
check out this. ihp-100 coming soon to a retailer near you..

Maybe I'm wrong, but I always thought Solaris was BSD derived, not SysV. If that's the case, Sun isn't the licencee that you're referring to.

I always knew I couldn't trust Marcel Marceau..
Especially after he spoke in Silent Movie..
hate to reply to myself, but i just read over at ign that gta3 was just added to the greatest hits list today.
on the ps2, it must also be at least 9 months old. don't know if there's a similar rule for nintendo.
as far as gta:vc, zelda, and mario are concerned, they're a bit too new. iirc, gta3 was supposed to be one, but because of the controversy it got pulled.

I read about this earlier today on hardocp.com.

sorry.. couldn't remember the last bit, so i got it from the imdb quotes page. guess it was submitted incorrectly there..

"Ahh... What do you know from funny?"
usb keyboard, mouse, and (iirc) a monitor output (not tv - actual computer monitor)
i read in another article last night (can't find it right now..) that the new remote *does* have that as a feature.
