Except that we already have massive data breaches via security holes that weren't intentionally-created government backdoors. Why would anyone but an idiot believe that the same group of criminals won't also be able to discover and exploit the ones put in intentionally?
If you read the available information about this, there seems to be many procedures in place to avoid social engineering.
Except those same procedures have been worked around in past social engineering attacks. Unless Apple's CSRs are magically immune to social engineering then there's no reason to expect that anyone determined enough won't get around them.
lso, there is nothing here about anyone having access to any ones files or data (encrypted or otherwise). Just procedures which would allow one access to there own account, this would be akin to an automated password reset.
Having access to someone's account means one can download an decrypt iCloud device backups.
Three out of four people with a mental illness report that they have experienced stigma. Stigma is a mark of disgrace that sets a person apart. When a person is labelled by their illness they are seen as part of a stereotyped group. Negative attitudes create prejudice which leads to negative actions and discrimination.
Yeah, I've had some personality issues with some of the maintainers, but that's about how you handle bug reports and accept blame (or not) for when things go wrong. If people thought that meant that I dislike systemd, I will have to disappoint you guys.
Why would anyone use this considering Google Code was announced to be shut down? Are we supposed to believe that this service isn't just going to be shut down on a whim as well?
Bingo. This is the advancement. You can get a world class education for NOTHING. How is that not an advancement? You only need to attend a physical university if you want 1) a diploma, or 2) to meet girls.
Except that this still requires students to enroll in a university to take the class. And $6000 is hardly "nothing" to most people.

The Atrix had a dock which turned the Android phone into an Android tablet.
No. The Atrix had a dock that provided a desktop that used a modified Ubuntu.
The Atrix 4G was one of the first Motorola devices to ship with its Webtop platform. When the phone is placed into its HD Multimedia Dock or Laptop Dock accessories, the user can access an Ubuntu-based desktop featuring access to the phone and its applications via the Mobile View'application, integration of Android notifications into the desktop, multimedia playback through Entertainment Center, file management through Nautilus, and the Firefox web browser (along with support for Prism for the site-specific browsers used on Webtop mode).[19]
Ubuntu hacked a Motorola Atrix so it ran Android when you used it like a phone, but plug it into a dock and suddenly it became a full blown Linux desktop. That's a concept ripe with potential. Doesn't have to be Android of course, but just the idea that it's a phone when you carry it around but you can use it as a computer too with a dock with some ports on it.
Bzzzt, wrong. Motorola is the one that implemented the modified Ubuntu desktop when docking the Atrix. It was not Canonical that did that.

There's also no need for the rich to share the output of their robots with the plebes.
The hair blurs a bit when it is in motion,
Yeah, due to the video compression.
If someone can get access to your account, they can download and decrypt your iCloud backups.
So I can roll my own encryption to replace that which is used by Google Play services? Ohh, wait...
Did you install the version of OpenSSL that introduced the bug?

Why? Because you said so? That's hardly a compelling argument.
But who is certifying that my engagements are organic?

Doesn't mean systemd should be default across all dists
It isn't, but it's really not your choice if you aren't the one making and maintaining the distro, no?
He did answer what you wanted:

Why invent some NSA conspiracy when Cisco clearly said it was intentional for support purposes?
The default key apparently was inserted into the software for support reasons.
I heard that protesters were flipping cars over and smashing windows.
From where exactly? Strange that you provide not a single source for this claim.
You report it to them and they test it.

The only "advancement" I see is that CMU is now going to have a huge profit margin on this $6000 course since they no longer have to pay a professor.
But the average person likely only cares about viewing and simple editing tasks which can be done without the Office 365 subscription.

It seems they are referring to "Ubuntu for Android" now that they've provided a link to what they are referring to.
