Even with a preponderance of soap opera style acting, it was still better on that front than most of Star Trek or Star Wars (Or "Earth: Final Conflict" or "Stargate: Whatever derivative is playing right now")......
It was an interesting article. I must really be out of the loop on this - I thought the entire world was in a love affair with the iPhone! But the article ends up being just as one sided and unbalanced as the articles it discusses.... I am still gonna have to hold and look at the iPhone before I buy one - neither side has convinced me one way or the other.
The thing I don't get is, after using Vista for around a month on my home machine, why we need it. Vista adds nothing to the user interface I can't get for free on the web and install on XP (Gadgets and Search = Google Desktop, Aero = any of a number of shells). Add into that the fact that "City of Heroes" (The only online game I like) won't run completely correctly on Vista and you have a flop of a OS.
So, using your logic, one should speak out against the system when one is young (And therefore doesn't know much about "The System") so that one can remain poor. Sounds sort of like a silly idea to me - Plus is seems mildly bigoted of you to assume that a person who is rich shouldn't be listened to simply because they are rich.
Why does it matter how much money he has? If he gave away all his money and got a job as a greeter at Wal-Mart, would that suddenly make his ideas better?
Personally, I agree with him and his ideas - because I can look past the money and see what he is saying.
Actually, I agree - it gets difficult for anyone to do a weekly series for 4 years. I think it might be time to get some new blood into the show - I like RTD and I thank him for starting the show again, but it's time to see someone else's take on the character for awhile.
I wonder how much my tax would be if I was a US citizen, using a internet cafe in France, connecting to my ISP which is incorporated in Canada and maintains it's servers in Amsterdam to send Email to someone in Brazil?
Exactly! The market always decides!
But I think the guy might be onto something here - after all it's not only "Brain age" that taps into this mundanity. Look at "Warioware" - minigames such as unspooling toilet paper or picking a nose. Not exactly the stuff of legend, but still more fun than many huge fantasy worlds....
Of course, if these types of tytpes continue to do well, we can expect to descend into games that simulate waiting in line at the DMV and the PS4 version of "Driving to work"....
On a different note - this sounds like what "The Simpsons" was referring to with "The Mystery Spot" in the episode about the baseball ringers coming to play for Burns power plant... I guess we should all be thankful for this Mel guy that he at least provided fodder for a good TV show...
That's hilarious - some guy pops up and claims to have found a magic hole and people believe him.... Hey everybody, I have found a magic speed bump. I'm not gonna tell you where it is, or show you pictures of it, but if you drive over it, you will be able to raise the dead!
Maybe you're right.... But the most successful company (As far as Operating Systems go - Microsoft) doesn't do this.... the second most successful OS (Mac OSX) doesn't....
I understand thinking out of the box, but at the same time - if the marketing procedures that are usually used work, then maybe they shouldn't be "Fixed"....
How about this - No Phone. Kids don't have to have cell phones. It is not a physical requirement and it might help them to become a little more focused.
It's impossible for print media to compete with the internet. The internet combines the best of TV with the best of print media. Therefore, this move makes sense - I have no doubt that in a couple years E-Paper will be able to have moving images, sound and wireless internet connectivity... Making the current print media obsolete. At the very least, it'll save a couple trees...
If we are going to have to change things like copyright law, patent law and such, and the people in positions of authority in our legal system haven't figured out what the term "Website" refers to, what chance do we have to actually get something useful done.

awwwww....poor little thought police don't have electric? Poor guys! What will I do if my every action online is not constantly being monitored?

I, for one, welcome our robot overlords. And I say this - isn't it about time?!

How do you know what the universe looks like when viewed outside of it?

I thought that the cold war was over....

I was thinking the exact same thing when I read this item....
313.92 pounds of it, if acquired before the age of 35. After the age of 35, the average person is required to buy only 100.19 pounds of crap.
People who buy based on "Cool" are throwing their money away.
"Entitlement Vector"? You're in marketing, aren't you?
I guess this is a way for MS to convince SOMEBODY to use a Zune....

This isn't the guy! He lives in an underground complex and collects alien artifacts and has a live Dalek in his basement!

Why is the Linux community financing a race car? Why do something stupid like that?
