    yeah. opening the windows at night. Two problems.
    1. Last night it never got below 80f and 80 percent humidity. I can't imagine that our Minnesotan neighbors had it much better.

    2. it is a major pain in the asp to open up every night and close up every morning. Unless it rains in the night, then get up and close up. Leave the windows open just one day and watch what happens to the bill now, and the house is hot when you get home from work.

    I use a programable thermostat and only run it when I am going to need it.

    here in Wisconsin, my summer utility bills can be as much as triple my winter costs.
    in the winter there is often 6-12 inches of very white snow on my roof.
    I have a light grey roof and painting it probably wouldn't help much.
    What I need are new windows.

    well, Capcom proves that the second rate Linux Handheld on /. yesterday was NOT the worst idea ever.

    I miss flying but I feel no remorse for the airlines.
    They have been screwing passengers for years.
    I don't fly any more either. I do miss the fast travel but not the multi hour lay overs.

    I think that you misunderstand the "brown people" line.
    It will merge with the "poor people" line just before the waiting bus.
    The airlines do everything in their power to give us reasons not to fly. Now they can make that a policy.
    Then they can cry about their failing business and demand more of our taxes.
    They will gladly take brown or poor taxes, just as long as they don't have to see them.

    The one up side I can see to this is "rich" and "white" people being treated like cattle. Someone has to fly coach.

    Good question.
    My little sister got her MFA last year.
    I think she spent 6 years in school.
    Most of it on out of state tuition.
    Loans, grants and the like. Dad sure didn't have the funds to pay for it.
    Her debt is $175,000
    still more than she will ever be able to repay but not $200k
    I think that you over paid.
