I find it humorous that Microsoft releases Windows Defender for spyware and Windows LIVE for antivirus when it would benefit them much more to integrate the, albeit limited, protection provided by these clients directly into Windows.
In other words, fix the problems with Windows directly instead of pretending to be the valiant solution provider in offering add-on products to fix the problems they originally created.
I'm skeptical of any politician. However, I'm willing to keep an open mind for a while longer on Obama.
Consider that he may only now be privy to information/intelligence that scares him as much as it did Bush/Cheney. Not that I agree with the policies of the previous administration; I'd like to think that change might be delayed because of some information Obama hadn't been previously party to, and he's still trying to determine the most appropriate long term solution for.
You're assuming that the lawn mower was tasked with the cat's safety in addition to cutting the grass.
Alternatives:
1.) Make the wheels smaller so the cat can't enter the business end of the machine.
2.) Get a dog. Most are too big for the lawnmower to injure, and will keep the cat off the grass.
3.) Reconsider feline sympathy.
I don't get the whole "this sequel is terrible, it shouldn't have been made!" thing. You don't have to watch it. The fact it's been made doesn't affect the original in any way whatsoever. Chill out.
You obviously don't have a 10 year old son whose appreciation for Star Wars or Indiana Jones has been irreparably damaged by his having watched what should have never been a 4th installment in the franchise before seeing the original.
Besides, there's an outside chance it could be really good. The Bladerunner idea is a great starting point.
I worked for KPIT back in the days when HealthConnect was known as the EHR (Electronic Health Record) project. EHR was deemed a failure after a few years, but in typical Kaiser IT fashion they merely changed the name of the project and continued down their futile path. EHR became CIS (Clinical Information System). It was a running joke among the employees about how we weren't allowed to call CIS what it was, "the new EHR". I wasn't surprised to hear that the failing project had been renamed a third time to keep it's momentum. Funny thing about Kaiser is that they'll probably scrap the HealthConnect name after this blows over.
I've yet to see another organization as screwed up as Kaiser Permanente's IT department, and I was in the military for 4 years. Enjoy the show folks!

Most people who are not IT professionals dont care. If they hose their own computer they dont have to fix it, you do.
