    Micheas, so isn't that saying that a certain race of people are better at moving the company in a different direction than another race of people? That is racist. Markets is a different story I guess. Hiring a thousand female Chinese could also mean they are going into the marriage business. :)

    How does a central utility having rows of batteries help YOU? The power goes down at your house, caused by a downed tree severing the power line. You're in the dark and cold! Comparing a necessity like electrical power to a convenience like a lawnmower or carpet cleaner is a bit off.

    Don't put it in your basement, or surround it with a metal garbage can and fireplace cinder blocks. I'm not going to let a remote chance of this happening stop me from saving money, esp when it is such an easy "disaster" to mitigate. Wasn't each electric light bulb a potential bomb when they first came out?

    This is probably a good reason we have never encountered any alien civilizations. The probability of being wiped out is very high. If the meteor hadn't hit 65M years ago. dinosaurs would already have colonized a good part of our galaxy.

    Go look in any dictionary. Popularity has nothing to do with the definition. 1. a particular system of religious worship, esp. with reference to its rites and ceremonies. 2. an instance of great veneration of a person, ideal, or thing, esp. as manifested by a body of admirers 3. a group or sect bound together by veneration of the same thing, person, ideal, etc. People are used to hearing the word "cult" when describing a religion other than their own, but the term applies to any religion, including Christianity. Unless you have your own private dictionary.

    By definition, Christianity is a cult. You are comparing apples to oranges. No where does it say the definition of a cult is an organization that makes it difficult to leave. You comparing your sports "repetitive stretches and drills" to religious activities designed to brainwash is silly, and not worth my time.

    Why they're still getting away with it mystifies me; pretty much everyone now knows what they're doing and how they're doing it.

    Why does Christianity still get away with the rape of young boys? Cults have power.

    A cult by definition is a religious group - it's silly for you to equate a religious activity with a sports activity.

    My parents forced me to go to church every week, then sunday school, and during the week I would be forced to work as an altar boy for no pay. All the time I was brainwashed with repetitive prayers and actions. A cult is a cult is a cult. It doesn't matter that here in North America we tend to be fond of a particular one.

    The computers were labeled as "Vista Capable" when in fact they could only run a basic version? SO WHAT??? I'm pushing 40, and although I'm "Sex Capable", most women don't expect the more advanced features such as more than once an hour.

    With climate change, large portions of land away from the oceans may slowly turn into desert. This machine can help create water short term, but once the humidity in the air falls below a certain level, it's useless. A better solution will be to combine hydrogen and oxygen from the atmosphere into water. These machines already exist, but are very expensive.

    I never noticed it in the original series (I wonder why lol) but the characters are way too young to be taken seriously as astronauts, esp if you want this movie to be 'legitimate and real'. I'm not bashing young people of course, but we all gain experience as we get older.

    Rumor has it this winter they are introducing more Everquest type quests - not simple go here kill this. Also, everything you do in the game DOES affect everyone around you. I run a small mining corp, but already I've started to manipulate the market and been in a couple corporation wars. Solo missions get boring after a while.

    WoW copied all the Everquest ideas you mentioned above - quick quests, many quests, group quests. Everquest launched many years before WoW. WoW just had a much better marketing system with the success of the Warcraft line. But they didn't do anything groundbreaking.

    EVE is very time friendly. I have many members in my corp that log on for a couple minutes a day to change skill training or start production/research jobs. Everything takes place in real time regardless of what you are doing in real life. :) Knowing the CEO of a mining corp is a good first step at being successful in EVE. :)

    EVE has everything you liked about UO, but it is based on a modern scientific world rather than medieval magic. No character classes, just ancestry, specialization and career. Any character can do anything it wants with no limitations. No grind system either. Skills are trained in real time even if you are logged off. You won't be able to max out your skills in this game! PvP is inherent in this game - because the economy is so realistic, you can't do anything without affecting other players. They offer a free 14 day trial but be warned - this is no WoW.
