If any open source application did this sort of thing, it would be known fairly quickly, because even the small minority that does read the source code would make it known.
No, the parent actually encouraged making money off the engine for at least a certain amount of time (as was mentioned with the Doom reference), and didn't explicitly state anything as wrong, just gave ideas as to how one could still profit while staying fairly open.
I was just in blockbuster yesterday for the long time in a while, and was surprised to see that they did in fact have a large section of blu-ray discs. But the fact that many people still don't know the difference between blu-ray, hd-dvd, and dvd makes it less likely that they would be aware of those extra capabilities in their gaming consoles.
I wonder if Sony would ever team up with blockbuster in an ad campaign, and blockbuster could advertise in the blu-ray section that they are playable on the playstation 3. Although this might cause tension with microsoft over the 360, but then again, i'm sure less people have bought the expensive hd-dvd addon than own some type of blu-ray playing device. I wonder if microsoft will give up the hd-dvd support in their next generation of consoles, only time will tell.
mplayer could be considered much less usable because it is entirely command line, but the vast choice of frontends for it is what makes it so versatile.
watching out for those of us who would rather not be annoyed, thought the validity of the statement is questionable, nobody should have the experience of reading the book for the surprise ruined by someone else.
Well I for one am glad that nobody has used this article as a starting point for useless fanboy arguments where each participant claims to not be a fanboy, while the other calls them one.
I wish there was a way to remove dupes in threads, not just stories.

The keyboard I use on a daily basis is dishwasher safe, it's one of those flexible silicon ones. Many find it uncomfortable or hard to get used to , but after becoming accustomed to the little amount of feedback, I'm quite satisfied with it. Search flexible keyboards on ebay or somesuch if you want one yourself.

The submitter is clearly trying to win the "Worst Story Title Ever" award.
