One one side, we want to treat aging as a disease and prolong human life, so, YEA for team "already a member of the human race".
On the other side, we still have no real global policy on control our very own human population.
We can't keep having 'more' people and having people who live longer.
Something has to give.
On the bright side, if we could double our life expectancy, we can add many more years of usefulness to the human race and that's a plus, the years of experience accumulated and the wisdom to pass along to others, certain a plus too. If our human bodies don't wear and tear as far, then it gives us more time to enjoy life, all o this is good.
But, we should also understand the nature of 'finite' resources.
So it would be nice to see some balance on a global scale.
Revenue Streams. TV shows advertising models are the networks revenue streams and they clash with our it works online. Who wants to spend 18 minutes in 1 hr watching advertising? I would pay a little more each month is my TV channels provider would deliver advertisement free TV shows.
He got his 2 terms, so, now, its all about perception, getting to the finish line with some style and substance and hoping to pass the POTUS seat to another Democrat. Can't blame him I s'pose.
I remember a movie with Keanu Reeves where he was transporting data using his brain "Johnny Mnemonic".. something about government/big pharma not wanting certain 'cure' information to be leaked and in the end, it was the underground hackers who risked their lives getting the info to all citizens. Seems to me like we are heading up that way... Ironic that certain movies from the 80s and 90s were able to predict scenarios such as theses.
that Samsung will take it's OS to a place where it will not be mistaken for Android. I like Samsung in that they don't always get it right the first time, but they do try hard. And I've had little gems of products such as the 32GB media player yp-p3 media player which was utterly brillant in every aspect. Superior playback, great support of various audio and video codecs and serious next level audio playback features truly designed for serious musicians.
I've been purchasing e-books in the forms of PDF mostly, and when possible I do purchase their printed version, if it doesn't get too expensive. I do prefer to read from a printed book, but I'm slowly adapting to the ebook.
I wish there was a tablet designed for PDF which provide an 8.5 x 11 or similar format experience, that would totally switch me over, as long as I can manage and save my files and load them myself. I would invest in such a device.
Testing for intelligence shouldn't be just about what you know and how much you know.. too me, that's more like testing for memory retention. But how do you learn? What do you do with what you know? these can offer much more practical views into a person's intelligence and even dare I say, the level of productivity you could expect. How well do you use what you know?
for Facebook is IF not only would the experience be AD free, but I would have 100% control and ownership of the material that I posted. If I decide to delete/remove something, it would be 100% gone, not archived anywhere. If I want to backup my posts, my entire account, I would be able to do so.
This means that surgeons will now have a new skill to learn as they must learn to recognize the signs and adapt their surgical styles to complement this new tool. Still, this is amazing.. It's like PhotoShop's Magic Wand for selecting pieces of a graphic, except this is for surgical cancer removal..:)
Russia does NOT have the credibility to demand anything when it comes to the Internet. Some of the best cracks and software pirates come from the Soviet Union. I would venture that the only reason Russia would love to the the UN as the world Internet Caretaker is that it would allow them more freedoms to do as they please.
You know..eventually, we will figure out how to make a human being, entirely through mechanical means, without the use of procreation. :)

In retrospect, hindsight is 20/20. Or the shoulda, coulda, woulda syndrome.
I WANT ONE! :) :) :)
Maybe we will get someone out there.. finally? :)
the NSA doesn't want to pay taxes.. Go figure...
Arnold Schwarzenegger would be awesome.. When Arnold as a Time Lord goes and says.. "I'll be back".. be afraid.. be very afraid... :) :) :) :)
that is very scary. guess the US Constitution will need to add a new amendment "the rights to Freedom of Search" :)

If Apple or any of these other bigCs could patent the letters A to Z, they would.

It might be worth it, after all, what's the point of having this knowledge and not use it.
It would run out of power in the first 24 hrs..

I have 2 of his book and it's really true. It is a very formulaic approach.

Many sounds make things move, for example, the sound of my wife reminding me of chores usually gets me moving pretty swiftly.
Eventually will have Apple right where they want them.. Out of the way..
