Unfortunately many foreign companies love to sell the US patent infringing goods that can be produced legally overseas in countries like China, because they know that when they are finally told to stop due to infringements, that these companies can move on to the next profit and know they made a cheap buck out of it. As much as we all depend on Hard Drives, companies need to stop this crap and start paying the people who actually helped to bring about this technology. As much as I hate patents, the idea of patents and protecting patents can serve as an incentive to bring about new inventions(why bother investing time and money into inventing something that you know will just be stolen by other companies).
Care to explain yourself? As far as the intelligence explosion, I wonder what the "terminal intelligence" would be(the rate at which intelligence can no longer increase).
So..its a wall of monitors with several computers processing to make it display in place of one computer in the near future? I'm not seeing the amazing part of this, it would seem like anyone could have made this technology for at least the past decade with enough computer power.
What they should do is run a 2-5 second image ad before video clips, that is is no way intrusive and I'm sure companies would love to pay to have a billboard advertisement banner viewed by millions of people in less than a day.
I love how when I call to complain that my speeds are no where near what they advertise, they go through all the steps to explain how its my fault and its my computer thats the issue, and when they finally get around to the real issue, they state that there is nothing they can do it about it, and if they aren't providing the promised bandwidth that its tough luck for me. My bandwidth has been the same for years, yet I'm still paying the same amount. You would think with progression of technology they would get the clue.
Was pretty sure the Dust Bowl was triggered by weather, not the other way around, considering that a large drought caused the topsoil to dry up from poor crop rotation. The temperature change was due to a natural phenomenon, not dust covering the air that would, if anything, cool the area below it.
That fact that temperatures back then were so close to what they are now still convinces me to doubt Global Warming's extreme danger on this planet. We haven't even proved if we are the main reason behind what could be a natural warming period. Billions of tons of CO2 is still only drops in the ocean compared to "5.1480×10^18KG"* of atmosphere that exists. My calculator doesn't even go enough decimal places over to show the minuscule percentage that the CO2 emissions make up compared to the rest of our atmosphere. I realize that it only takes a small amount of CO2 to increase the world's temperature, but how many parts per millions in increase does it take to really make a difference?
Agreed, I'm not going to respect M$ for marketing reasons. I appreciate engineering more than the best way to manipulate an ignorant user with claims of being "the best".
I'll sacrifice little things for stability and performance. Its all about preference, you can stick with FF2, I'll go with FFL.

I keep my social networking very private, as it tends to reveal a lot of information. Imagine your boss typing up a memo to send to you on Myspace, only to find some obscene picture(not that I have obscene pictures on my facebook, hehe).
I don't get it, what is so amazing about water on other planets? Water is simply the reaction of two rather simple and common elements, Hydrogen and Oxygen. Making water is by far not a hard task.
Freedom of speech is the concept of being able to speak freely without censorship. That is the definition. It does not have to pertain to the law, thus this is a matter of free speech that was guaranteed by the company but not honored.
I'm speaking about inventors such as those at Universities.
I'm talking about individuals, not corporations.

When you are a nomad who depends on a digesting every nutrient you manage to get, gut-bacteria can mean the difference between life and death.

Do you think the GooglePhone has any ties to them bidding? Even if its something on the side.

I'm sure companies such as Intel have already considered these types of chips and know that there just isn't a market for it.

Politics and Science make for a nasty mix.

Your comparison makes no sense?
Wikipedia is so versatile and adapts so fast, that any errors brought up about Wikipedia would be quickly fixed, and quickly invalidated.

I've called them up for support. When I said I used Linux, they said they couldn't help me. They are very stubborn for having the resources they have.

I preferably would not want to reboot and lose all current work on my linux desktop just for a game.
No one has played Starcraft? All you do is ship off a bunch of criminals and put them in cryogenic stasis for a while and you solve the time issue.
A spin? I'm just stating the definition of free speech, if you don't like it thats too bad.
