Just so long as there are more than two or three competing telecoms, I don't see much of a problem here. Hopefully, they will compete for the business of third-party ISPs. And I do not mean compete for their customers.

They could be abstaining in protest of their vote not passing. Either that or they got their money from M$ and don't care anymore. It's not like M$ has any reason to get them to vote again.

But then you would have to help assist her in choosing another one. And set it up for her. And you know that there will be all sorts of little inconveniences that had been solved on her first system but have to be solved again over the next 6 months.

There is another set of clauses that are a little less widely known: the "to it's knowlege" clauses.
