Wow, there's a ton of stuff I remember from the 70's and 80's. Viewing them on high powered equipment such as the Vax and TRS-80 workstations. Nice work. Love the green - works very well with the site!:)
Yeah, good points - managing the games you have already stored (read: archiving to disk) and doing cheats, etc., however...
Most cheats are in the form of passwords though, so that's not such a hot use. As for copying to disk, bah - why not get one of those "Mega Memory Cards" for $20-40? Surely it's cheaper than getting a PC adapter...
Hmmm, at $200 for the basic set, not only are these toys for dorks, they're toys for rich dorks! The Star Wars crap on top of that and you're all set for an afternoon of playing with yourself.;>
Lego would be much better off dropping the price on this cool stuff so that the people that should have it - THE KIDS - can have it.
...despite the label "workstation" now have PCI slots and use many commodity pieces - until you get into the "real workstations" and servers. I think Sun and hell, even SGI to a point are taking too many cues from the Wintel world. I don't care about commodity RAM. That's fine. Even IDE has it's place - but not in a Sun workstation. Then there's SGI with their new VW... That's a whole different league though, and I won't disparage SGI (they're going after the low-end NT graphics market, so their box makes total sense).
A lot of people liken Yahoo's strategy as "typical business economics."
Hey, I got no problem with you makin' money. That's what E-biz is about. Otherwise, why bother?
But in a SEARCH engine? Screw that. When I go to a search engine, I want to find what's related to what I'm looking for... Not a bunch of worthless links because some jackass or company bought their way to the top of the list.
Sheesh.
It was meant as a joke... :)
Yes, the Model 12's - large floppies, Xenix...

Okay. Maybe not.
I was being fasicious... ;>
Now we can drive at light speed or faster. That should cut down on the commute. ;>
You could always throw an LCD on the wall next to it with pen recognition... Have it randomly change your artwork like one dork we all know...
Sweet. I like it. It's unique - with it's wooden frame.

Ever hear of a Sun/SGI workstation? :)
The P3 doesn't thrill me one bit, and I won't recommend or buy 'em. The P2s are good enough and cheap enough - 450's or even Celerons.
A killer app for BeOS. :)
You can "manage your memory cards" just by booting up the PSX without a CD. Copy from one card to another, etc.
"We love SGI." :)

Go get yourself a Sparc or MIPS or Alpha, even.
Yeah, right. Pack another bowl...

God forbid one of those "humans" back there make a mistake in listing your info. It'll never change or get fixed.
Thanks but no thanks. Yahoo lost it's gleam for me years ago.
Probably a stinkin' Windoze user that never heard of multi-tasking. Hmph. :)
Let's have X!
Sockets, anyone?
You client. Me server.
I'll kick you in the tarballs!
...
Long live Unix. Alright! :)
Enquire within. :)
Guess not... :)
As long as SGI ports over all the hardware-specific libraries/etc. than Linux should be pretty killer on SGI boxes. Hell, I'm psyched.
