That would defeat the purpose of the system. Just the existence of a backdoor makes the system vulnerable and devoid of purpose - anyone, with sufficient determination, can exploit it.
Besides, anything even close to such action would utterly destroy Tor and spark another service that could be even more dangerous in wrong hands.
I know I shouldn't feed the flamebait, but...
These things you talk about aren't open and certainly aren't in the spirit of Open-Source.
You should provide choice and make it a well known alternative, but forcing them to use something? Are we any better then?
If Open-Source supporters start doing these things, then I think the cause is lost.
The fact that you're doing what the crowd is doing doesn't mean you're any better, just worse.
Oh, so you're afraid to be a sucker? To be left out of the cool community? Well, you're doing it wrong!
The point of downloading music, is that if you like it afterwards, you will go to the group's concert or donate directly to the artist, so as to avoid 80%-90% of revenue going to some major label.
Don't tell that all people who download are leechers.
Uberman's or Everyman's schedule works fine already. Of course it requires some time of adaptation and some sacrifices, but it's a lot better that taking drugs for the rest of your life.
Google it.
No! Art class is evil. Art classes are mostly for studying before exams and doing homework for the class after. That's what people did in Art class when I was forced to assist it. On the other hand, computer classes are full of people watching Youtube and Facebook... simply because school can't afford good technology teacher. Fuck, I just say, let students learn skills that aren't required, at home. Most of non-standard classes are retarded and just waste students' time. And yes, they will say thank you, because finally they will be able to do what they love instead what you force them to do! And yes, 90% teachers can't teach.
nspluginwrapper is pretty straightforward in Ubuntu 7.10.
All you need to do is install it in synaptic/adept manager or just type "sudo apt-get install nspluginwrapper"
And you're set!
Shouldn't someone figure that out just by looking at the link?
Seriously, would you be in your own mind to visit vumit.com and not be prepared for something wrong?
If that's true, Chinese government will probably block the download for Maxthon very soon.
That will be one big bonus for Firefox since Mathon users will mostly move to Firefox.
Then someone will probably write a nice addon that has the same advantages as Maxthon, if it doesn't exist yet... Firefox will be seen as "legal" by Chinese, but will always provide the same functionality if the user desires to install it.
I thought a site such as Slashdot and Wired would know a difference between Hacker and Cracker...
Also, Windows IS outdated software, especially Internet Explorer, why the fuck are you using it?!

I find I have no problem reading Slashdot on my laptop.
I would have downloaded and paid 20$ if only they moved completely to releasing music for download... Instead they decided to let users download crappy quality music instead of.flac and then release full CD with good quality and even more tracks.
I have no respect for them, nor I will listen to their music.
(guess what pissed me off? um, because they didn't mention all that before you paid for your download)
All I see is "Verio hosting is Linux with a lineage".
Contrary to many other people who replied here, I don't block ads on sites that have them, but still care about the user to not put too much of them.
After all, Slashdot gotta make some money too!
Well, they just lost another customer...
I thought if I buy something, I completely own it and can do whatever I want with it... Apparently Apple doesn't believe that.
Too bad as I was having plans to head for Apple store... not anymore though.
Because more people will notice if the prices go up and criticize that decision.
But if the prices stay the same, most people will think it's OK since they don't know anything about producing costs dropping down.
Common sense is on it's way to extinction and all the stupid things will be soon banned so people won't need to bother to think for themselves anymore.
I can't even walk without bumping into something when texting on my cell... I can't imagine texting while driving.
That is, what about voice recognition texting? Will it be banned too?

Really bummer it's GTK+ based though... KDE is a lot better IMHO, now it will just eat up my memory.
Too bad it's not in Ubuntu repositories... :(
Oh wait, it is! Just it's 0.9.8.1 version! I guess I'll have to wait for an update then.
That was only cause of Live CDs. And btw, they were pretty late on these. Every other major distro had them long time ago.

Finally communism is possible with the help of Internet!
