    you can't violate distribution if you are just making it available. Remember the RIAA's whole argument is it is illegal to make it available to download.

    Right now, Californians don't pay sales or use tax on ESD, this bill will change that. The company you purchase it from will collect it and you will have no choice. Your Itunes and pRon will be little bit more expensive now. Deal with it by voting.

    I am actually quite interested in this. While $200k will probably turn into $400k by the time these are ready, if I had the money I would. Space Camp really peaked this interest. What do you all think? Would you go if it was more affordable?

    You should look into the laptop security devices that retail locations use. it locks it down, leaving the ports open and has a bar across it. Bolts into your desk.

    Thy are finally allowing you to install just a shell, just GUI, etc. The basis for this is already in place. It makes sense for thetech crowd, but not so much for home users. I know my mother isn't going to be looking at a menu of options and thinking it is easy.

    Great he got fined.....but what about giving that money to the people that were screwed over? This once again makes me wonder. The BSA, RIAA, MPAA they all keep the money they get and never pass it on.... Can you hide money by calling it a fine, and not restitution?

    Why isn't this money being refunded to the consumer? When I read stories like this, and the ones where the FCC levies fines for unacceptable practices I see the consumers that were affected getting screwed. I may be missing something here, but I AM ANGRY!!
