Solution : Don't use WiFi... There will be a physical connection to your router, use it and turn off WiFi
There is a huge amount of people using WiFi on their home router to a fixed PC 2 feet away...and it's those that get hacked, hijacked, and complain about the connection failing...
Get a cable plug it in and you are invisible to Google's WiFi snooping...the nearest they can usually get then is your ISP (Mine is 100 miles away from me)
...or more likely if you measure the position of one, then it will affect the momentum of the other and so you cannot infer the momentum of the first....
I would be in the same dilemma if I was in the middle of nowhere and ran out of gas ?
I have thing new fangled thing calls a fuel gauge, and now even a range meter with which I can keep an eye on how far I can go before I refuel (Electric or Gas)
But apparently you need a 300 mile range or you might run out of fuel on a 20 mile journey ?
Have you noticed that all cars seem to have a 300 mile range? Well so does the Tesla Roadster S ?
We have the Thrust SSC around somewhere, If we fit it with an electric drive that would beat this..... it does 763 mph @ 0.04 mpg U.S but the electric motor uses no gas so as a hybrid it's really economical, right?
A Porsche is very uneconomical, a Porsche with an electric drive is just as uneconomical when driven fast or beyond the range or the electric drive system...it's just it uses zero gas in a traffic jam?
The Tesla does infinite mpg - does that mean it cost nothing to run, and produces no CO2 ?
...and note that Solar is not a clean as it seems, Solar cells take some fairly nasty and rare mined raw materials to produce, and cost to dispose of correctly
But having said that, a typical Coal power station releases more radioactivity than a typical nuclear power station (Most of the radioactive waste is spent fuel, and the reactor itself)
An unhappy customer is a customer who will not buy a Dell next time, and who will tell their tale of woe to everyone who will listen , it does not matter what you do to sort the problem out or how simple it is to fix
Dell becomes the company that ships PC's with non-working parts and tries to push the blame on the user who ordered the "wrong " system and that have to be upgraded to Windows when the customer complains (Regardless of the fact that it did work, probably better than Windows, it was just the user who did not realise what they were buying and paniced when they saw an unfamiliar system)
A customer who does not even realise there is a choice remains happy...
Multicellular complex life appeared ~ 500Million years ago after being single celled or simple colonies for ~ 3.5 billion years the change occurred for no obvious reason and there seems to be be no reason it could not have occurred much earlier
We have been around only 200,000 years
We have only been broadcasting signals powerful enough to be detected outside our atmosphere for ~ 60 years and we have only been trying to listen for around 50 years
I think that gives us a couple of billion years wiggle room, and a window of opportunity of less that a single human lifetime....
At the speed voyager 1 is travelling at it will go ~ 1 500 00 light years in a billion years... it's really not that far....
The Drake equation is not the problem (As Frank Drake knew), It's the numbers you put into it....
He knew and said that the first few terms are fairly well known, but as you get down the equation they get more and more speculative, the last three are just plucked out of the air from a sample size of 1....
The Drake equation will produce a very good estimate if we know all the numbers reasonably well, however we don't so it is not much better than a guess
UK TV Present and Astronomer Patrick Moore has met both the Wright brothers, Neil Armstrong, and is still alive
Technological innovation is happening really fast in galactic terms....
Most Land animal specials only survive for a few million years.....but we are unusual in our life span and might be able to use genetic engineering to circumvent this?
Either makes most Finns and eastern Europeans seem constantly sarcastic, or stops them using it altogether because it's a letter not a punctuation mark
Please use a real punctuation mark.... and not one with an already well established meaning....
If it hides you when people are not really looking carefully then you are invisible
If when you are advancing towards a target it hides you for 30 seconds, then you are 30 seconds nearer than someone without it......depends on your definition of fundamentally flawed
Linus' Tree is *still* the official one not because of Linus, he could be replaced overnight and it would continue, it's because all the main contributors submit their patches to it, and the official kernel group analyse them before they are integrated, the all Linus actually needs to do is be the one person who actually commits patches (so there are no conflicts) and act as a final arbiter in disputes
As the final arbiter it does not matter if he is arbitary, egotistical etc... as long as he only acts as the final arbiter, the majority rules, he just need to decide when opinion is split...
If I already have a logo, I don't want you to design it all all, but I do want it as a favicon, two-colour version, billboard, etc.etc. then you can do that and not insist I rebrand my company first...
This is crowdsourcing the original design, not the full production and use of that design, they are separate and distinct items and the second will always need a professional company like yours and cannot be crowdsourced
the Leaf has a range of 100 miles and cost $32,780
the Volt has an electric range of 40 miles and costs $41,000
The Volt is over priced badly designed and not as green as it claims to be ....

I could find out where these shops look like by driving past them....?
Or I could look on Google streetview, now, without using this app
Or I could buy online and not visit them at all?

Europe is a big diverse place, My car is European and shows mph.....
Which side to drive on, which side the steering wheel is on is also an option ....

But having said that, a typical Coal power station releases more radioactivity than a typical nuclear power station (Most of the radioactive waste is spent fuel, and the reactor itself)
So the gasoline engine is just a huge heavy lump of metal it has to drag around wasting it's range ....

They have to do Windows in the main because that's what people want, all the software people will install will work on Windows
Supporting one operating system is easy, supporting 2 is harder, supporting more is much harder ....
Follow the money is the answer, but it is the expense of installing configuring and supporting more than one OS that they are trying to cut down on

And that assumes that they are not actively hiding ....
