    a B&D language won't let you make some of the hard to find obscure errors that languages like Python and C/C++ etc let you (not that they are any where near perfect ....)

    Hell yes they do! and so does every other western nation...

    But in Europe the rejection of GM crops is by the consumers not the farmers (the farmers like GM crops they get subsidies for growing them, but they also get bad press and cannot sell them...)

    The Olympic was returned Harland & Wolff for six months safety rebuilding because it had been hit by HMS Hawke! and did not sink but limped back to port...

    Obviously not much wrong with the rivets then?

    The simple answer is you can't

    All the more reason not do buy from "Dodgy Dave's discount motherboard emporium" but from a reputable dealer who will either not sell you a knock-off or if they get fooled will replace it ....

    This is precisely what Japan was doing some years ago (to kick start their economy) it's when "Made in Japan" was synonymous with cheap rubbish and fakes, they slowly pulled their economy up until it is now producing state of the art originals and leading the market in many fields

    China is just getting going but will probably take longer since it has a larger pool of cheap labour ...

    If it's the same product make by the same people with the same parts in the same factory then all this is not true ....in this case

    What you are buying when you buy the genuine article is a valid warranty, and the ability to get some recompense if it is faulty and nothing more

    Which rules?

    USA rules - Strict IP with Software Patents

    European Rules - Fairly strict IP without Software patents

    UN Rules - Strict IP without patents but respecting counties Patent systems

    China has a huge cheap workforce so IP is largely irrelevant to them at this stage (as it was in Japan when they ignored IP rights, now they have their own IP to protect and an expensive workforce they enforce other countries IP)

    The Titanic has two sister ships the Olympic (built before) was known as "Old Reliable" retired and dismantled after sailing for 24 years, and the Britannic (built after, sunk by a mine)

    If the rivets were such inferior quality why did the Olympic sail without problems (including being rammed by the cruiser HMS Hawke) for 24 years?

    Monsanto do not care about the third world : They do not pay

    Monsanto do not care about the environment : It is not cost effective

    Monsanto are a company out to make money : They do not like being regulated, they do not like being restricted, like most companies it does not matter if their products actually work or are actually beneficial as long as they sell....

    Their products have been proven to be not required and not to work very well (except for pesticides which tend to work too well...)

    They like F1 hybrids because they do not breed true (people have to buy more seed)

    They like GM crops because they sound good (and they are forced to make them infertile) but most independent trials show little improvement over conventional crops and they often *are* fertile

    Most European counties have either banned or discouraged GM crops because people do not trust them, this does not mean they are a problem but people perceive them as a problem, and in a business image is everything ....

    If can patent things then you can patent DNA, varieties of Rats, cell lines, and software

    If you can only patent processes then software is not patentable only the process of writing it (so a RAD method could be patented), software could be (and is) copyrighted and trademarked but should not be subject to patents ...

    Patents should only allow processes to be patented so what you are patenting is how to do/make something not the end product, or any part of the product, this theoretically how patents work now (and generally do in the UK) but in the USA it is far too liberal on what can be patented ...

    The patent system is broken... we need to fix it

    1) Only allow patents on processes not things
    2) Only allow patents on processes people can prove they invented (not as now that no-one has yet proved they didn't)
    3) Force people to licence patents (i.e. anyone can use it for a fee) and restrict the fee charged so they cannot bury it or skew the market

    Average speed of Traffic in London is 10mph the same as the horse and cart 100 years ago ....

    It was because of traffic jams that the London Underground was built ... It did help for a while ..

    GoDaddy : Silly name that does not describe what they do, Commercials that hide they are a very dull company providing a very menial service

    they talk about "product development" and similar ... but they just sell domain names

    They do not run any Root Nameservers, they do not police the system, they are selling registrations, and nothing else ...

    The problem is the type of evidence, there are inconsistencies in the Bible but it does not prove anything

    Jericho had walls - they were destroyed (and rebuilt) many times including very vaguely around the right time

    There was no global flood, there was however a series of local floods and some ancient cataclysmic floods that might be remembered in tales

    There was a town call Nazareth about the right time (although there might not have been a census?)

    But this proves nothing about God just that the bible is based on reality ... which since it is a history of the Jews is not really that surprising ...

    The point of the "Right to bare arms" was to enable the formation of a Militia to oppose an unjust government ... do you really thing this is possible with small arms?

    That's the problem with these theories

    Life started on a Meteor that has passed through special conditions not found in our solar system now or at any time, unlike the vast majority of rocks in our solar system which began here, crashes through the atmosphere, some of that life survives find favourable conditions and starts life....

    or

        Life started on Earth ....

    Occam's razor says the latter ...
