dust is a serious problem on the moon. the static charge and the abrasiveness of the dust floating around. wind? maybe not the same kind of wind the earth experiences, but solar wind? probably a lot more bothersome on the moon.
i have a pico itx on my worktable right now. still building a case for it. the mobo itself is not much bigger than a deck of playing cards but once you attach the cables it is taking up the space of a paperback book.
anyone who doesnt play a MMOG is instantly biased in their response. virtual money can be transferred into real money for all of these games. even having a vast sum of virtual money (700bil) will have an impact in the ingame economy.
the argument comparing killing ingame to real life doesnt fly. ingame a player is back up and running around again in less than a minute. taking their money away or their equipment has a huge impact on that player.
yes its just a game. a game with terms of service and end user license agreements. all the games i have seen have someting in there about scamming to some extent. the hard part is the enforcement.
very few bands out there are artists just wanting to be heard for entertainment/creativity. i will gladly pay to see a band that i enjoy to hear but i will NEVER pay for their studio tracks. look in the bargain bin for last years idol winner. why was a $20 cd last year now $5?
times change. real artists will continue to make real music. whores will continue to take your money for a quick fling
gee, after your first week of playing in this Disney Land pastel colored land, you get to fight your first dragon! oooooh... after the second week of playing yow will cap your level too! aaaaaah...
PvE? you will kill everything and die to nothing
PvP? gank fest. if its higher level than you, wave! maybe he wont attack (too busy leveling). if you see a noob, kill him! laugh at him as he franticly waves at you shouting "PEACE! PEACE!"
oh joy, oh fun.
WoW looks like move fun than DAoC, but really no challenge to it. skills in PvP still reign in Quake style games not in MMO's*
*exception would be Asherons Call 1 - skill was generally more important. too bad the game is old and dated.
power gamers in these games whine, bitch, and moan. always have, always will. sit back and enjoy the game, if you dont want to kill that bug ten thousand times then don't! quit bitchin about it already!
Trevanian wrote a book back in the late 70's that got me interested in go about 15 years ago. Actually, that whole book got me interested in a bunch of different things, spelunking, basque, kicking cars, go, and tantric sex.
i knew this was going to be a problem since there are always about 100,000 people logged into the zone at any given time. Asherons Call has a base of 15,000 fanatics (i'm one of them) basicly, M$ set themselves up for a DOS attack with a ton of gamers from all over targeting their servers at the same time. The system was poorly implemented, why bite the bullet and force everyone in at the same time?
This guy is not only keeping the Cthulhu mythos goin but has also created a vampire series that puts all others to shame. Sure Anne Rice has cranked out some good tales about Lestat and company but Lumley makes sure beyond a shadow of a doubt that vampires are BAD and should not exist period.
also wish that Stepenson would get his new book out sooner ranther than later.
Alan Dean Foster bears noting as he can really develop a story full of great characters and then end a story in six pages.
ahh... Smash TV. mmmmm.... TOTAL CARNAGE, now those were games that left my finger numb after 4 hours of non-stop play.
what happened to these kinds of games? run over like frogger?
As much as i like SEL, Evanagelion still reigns as my favorite. Since Antartica is still there as i write this, i guess second impact did not occur.
darn.
Bastard! and Evangelion DEATH
on
Essential Anime
·
· Score: 1
If your'e gonna watch anime, you gotta watch Bastard! Dark Snider (sp?) is by far one of the most entertaining characters in anime. Street Fighter II 'V' is an excellent series, kinda like dragonball with better animation. Others worthy of mentioning: Big Wars, Angel Cop, Macross II, Ogre Slayer, and Peacock King (very good!) Evangelion DEATH and Rebirth (or true death) YOU MUST WATCH THESE IF YOU WATCHED THE SERIES. there, i said my piece, how's your mom?

i bought an acre back in the mid 90's for $14.95. from the map i was sent, looks like it is on the side of the arzachel crater wall :(

..are either: a) tiny industrial forces or b) lying.
im glad the United States is will to stand up and say this is WRONG.
why should a country like china that has a BROWN CLOUD hanging over it be exempt? this is just a ploy to bring the US down.
Europe will probably violate the treaty right off the bat and go 'tee hee'
i'll just have to wait until fantasy becomes reality

no new good games? what's Knights of the Old Repbulic?
if he has learned to properly write an ending, then PLEASE show Alan Dean Forster how!
why are they not protecting my CD's?

good stuff!
Why are CD-R's legal?
Japan and S.Korea get AOTC June 14th due to the soccer tournament going on...wierd reason to delay a lucrative source of movie watchers.
and got rejected.

Those messages about low memory are a bit distracting when fragging.

why go to RS when you can get one w/o asking for it. thanks Wired. see page 129 in Wired 8.09
