    You do not want to restrict what the companies can collect as long as the do it honestly. Restricting what companies can collect honestly only serves to reduce what the can offer and increase the costs of offering it.

    Restrictions should be enforced upon what the government can compel or even ask of private companies. restriction of government power in this area protects people and their freedoms. Being protected from your own choices has not the same level of importance as protection of our freedoms.

    So you have never used a computer other than a Mac. Right?

    Because every PC I have ever owned supports dual booting. Dual Boot support does not lie in the hardware but in the bootloader. I have multiple machines right now that will boot in to 2 or 3 and one even has 4 operating systems installed.

    Long and Short is this. You have so little knowledge of computers that your opinion is useless.

    The problem there is the Government. What people choose to give to a private company is their business. Smart or not. What the government can compel others to divulge is a problem.

    I am not asking for an new amendment just that I have no worries about what a private company knows about me.

    And we do have the power to fix it. As a people though Americans have become lazy and spoiled and will give up the freedoms that were paid for in blood for convenience.

    I believe that he pointed out rather clearly that he did not give a shit about what companies are selling to companies to get him to buy shit.

    Where his rational fear comes from is when an entity with guns and prisons comes for you. This is what the constitution is meant to protect us from, "The Tyranny of the Government". I also do not give a fuck that P&G knows how many times a day I take a crap. I do care when the police violate my privacy in an attempt to take away my freedom or my life.

    We have the freedom to choose the people we want to do business with (Exceptions being Government granted monopolies). We do not have the freedom to tell the government to fuck off.

    As an employee your job is to do your best. Period. They hire you at a wage you both agree on. Then. You do your best as an employee for the company. If you have "tools" that you can use and do not then you are not doing the right thing. This is not to say that they should get free permanent lic of all your "IP" (Fuck I hate that phrase) becaue you had the pleasure to work there.

    But while you are working there you should always bring your best. That is how a person gets through life being successful and remaining human.

    Netflix does pay for all their bandwidth. Netflix pays it internet bills. The customer pays theirs. When the customer want Netflix to send a movie over Verizon says ... Whoa! Even though we are getting paid by the customer to deliver you video and Netflix is paying their provider to send it, We want more money because .... Fairness!

    They get to offer a superior service because the are not regulated.

    Keep Uber going. Just let the cab companies compete fairly. Either get rid of regulations on cabs or add them to Uber.

    I have to tell you that the stuff that normally kills a fiber run leaves copper alone and vice versa.

    If you are running a company and a connection is important spending an extra grand or so a month to have bonded T1 backup is a good idea.

    T1, while slow, has its place.

    1.5 Mbs, synchronous, rock solid and dedicated.

    If you can afford it. You do not need faster and it has to be up it is great. Also I have 4xBonded T1 as a backup to my 50 Mbps fiber at work. The copper and fiber runs are completely different and gives me awesome piece of mind.

    Your point would be awesome if it were not for the fact that the officials are not telling us that restricting travel out of the affected regions would be bad.

    They are stating that banning all travel to and from the region and watching the region burn would be bad, and it would be. Heavy restrictions of travel from the region while sending aid and beating the disease down at its origin is just common sense. You will learn. Unfortunately in order to "look good" many people in the US will have to die of Ebola.

    On the plus side all of the ISIS warriors that did make it across the US border may be able to do more damage in the US than Ebola.

    Most people I know think that there should be a non essential travel ban and heavy, real screening for the travel that is allowed.

    Of course that sadly sounds reasonable and when you have zero facts on your side and hatred for everyone that does not think like you, allowing "the other side" to seem reasonable can not be accepted.

    In California when they first passed the hands free laws they actually used a study that said that hands free was just as bad as holding the phone as justification for the law.

    The problem in the US is that the politicians have figured out just how truly stupid and lazy the majority of people are and are using that to their advantage.
