I am not sure you know how a free market really works.
In a free market if I can build a car that is better than a BMW for less than the price of a low end Kia I will most likely dominate the car market.
When I use that dominance to produce better cars for even less money that is still good. Even though it makes it much harder for someone else to compete with me.
The free market is not about making things even. It is about honest competition. In an honest competition you have winners. Sometimes even dominators.
Only when you start using your dominance in the market place to get laws passed, or anti competetive exclusivity arangements to make competing more difficult or even impossible is there a problem.
    The free market is free.

What you are not seeing here is that the lawyers settled for what is essentially a large payout for them.
The cost to Ticketmaster is small. They have to change almost nothing.
Ticketmaster is paying $16.5 million to the lawyers and $40k to a couple of dweebs. The rest is an advertising campaign.

    Nothing changed. Lawyers got paid.

Then they add a tax on gas for the same stuff.
Then they borrow money to fix the roads.

    Only good can come?
    Are you sure of that?
Because I can see many things wrong with your statement.
Many bad and not so good things can come from Reducing CO2.
Cars cost more, jobs pay less, food and gas cost more.
Some businesses are getting seriously hurt. (Try making cement in California)

I can understand 5 year olds thinking that all is good and nice. You though are presumably an adult.
    try some critical thinking.

Are the benefits realized by these reductions worth the cost?

I do not know. I think that further reductions may in fact not be worth the cost.

But of this I am sure.

Not only good comes from the reduction of CO2.
