  3. Not death, but suicide on EBay Deal Irritates Individual Sellers · · Score: 1

I don't see EBay so much as dying, as committing a very slow suicide. In an attempt to increase revenue, they're shafting people who use Ebay for what its best at: being a world wide garage sale.

No other site is even close in its ability to connect buyers and sellers of used/rare/collectible items. This is what Ebay is best at, and also the market EBay has been marginalizing.

Adding ump-teen thousand listings from huge online retailers adds no value to customers at the core of the Ebay business. They can find the same crap at any one of dozens of online retailers. All this will do aggravate folks who use EBay to buy/sell in secondary/specialty markets.

And EBays customer service is atrocious. I can almost accept this when the company is viewed as basically a renter of flea market stalls. They don't have a change competing against reputable online retailers like Amazon.

What a stupid, stupid idea. You don't destroy your core business in order to expand your revenue a bit.

Dear God, how did this get modded Informative? The parent is confusing CMOS logic with NMOS logic (you do NOT use static loads with CMOS logic), and FETs do not have a parameter called "activation voltage".

For a description of CMOS logic that's actually accurate, check out the wikipedia article here:

So you have a party full of audiophiles listening to music. You all know when you're listening to CDs, and when you're listening to vinyl, and you all agree that vinyl sounds better. Then you describe the difference using meaningless (and hence, not disprovable) terms line "depth of space" and sound that "stands up as tall as the ceiling".

Consider me unimpressed. As this was not a double blind study, this was just a bunch of folks with preconceived notions engaging in confirmation bias.

The parent post is just the same old audiophile argument, but with more people in the room.

    > Type 2 is your body being insulin insensitive OR not producing enough insulin but still some insulin. Both of these conditions can be caused by stressing your body by intaking high amounts of sugar

No, the onset of Type I diabetes has absolutely nothing to do with diet. Absolutely nothing at all. Type I diabetes is an auto-imune disease caused by the immune system attacking the insulin producing beta cells. This is why implanting a type I diabetic with more beta cells simply doesn't work, the immune system just kills the new cells as well.

As far as I know the only treatment that has "cured" a type I diabetic has been an implantation of beta cells, followed with a permanent course of immunosuppressants. These are the drugs given to the folks who have had organ transplants, and have horrendous side affects. Its a case of the cure being worse than the disease.

Anyway, type II diabetes has a strong dependence on diet and weight (as well as genetic factors). Type I does not.
