    I dunno ... I installed Linux and ended up with two desktop environments, three word processors, four web browsers, and a whole bunch of image editors, system utilities, file managers, and other stuff.

    And it still took less disk space and less memory than on windows.

    interoperability is not trivial.

    You need to work on your reading comprehension skills.
    VFAT is fairly simple (clever maybe). It was not designed for interoperability. It's interoperable because it is simple and widely used.

    I think that you're a little confused. The adage that was being referred to is the famous quote: "There's a sucker born every minute."
    Whether he actually said it is another matter.

    I dislike the term "Internet Fraud". Fraud is fraud, whether it was conducted on eBay or at the local flea market.

    I agree totally.

    It also a lot like "hate crimes". Crime is crime. The "law" in the country has gotten completely idiotic.

    Unless you have a better explanation, one that fits into a naturalistic framework as that is the framework within which science exists.

    That is not a statement of fact or science. That is you trying to force your philosophical world view on the rest of us. There is absolutely no reason to believe that science must be practiced in a "naturalistic" context. That is simply your presupposition applied before you enter the ring.

    The word science simply means knowledge. So quit trying to force your beliefs onto the pursuit of knowledge.

    P.S. I know that slashdot is a hotbed of atheistic naturalists, but I spend time here anyway.

    The other day I was trying to explain this so someone with regards to dual booting Windows and Linux. If your windows machine gets infected and the attacker gets "root" access. Your Linux machines is also completely at risk.

    In other words, root access (whatever that means for whichever OS you use) means TOTAL CONTROL of the computer.

    This person was under the impression that Linux was safe, even when the other OS might get compromised. WRONG!!!!
