except that rating boards are totally skewed. we don't need more "violence is ok / sex is bad". naked people should be way more acceptable than killing people, video games or otherwise.
these caps are ridiculous. if i was sold a phone capable of, say, watching netflix streams, i would expect to stream the same quality video 24/7. if you can't support users doing that for a nice monthly fee, you need more towers. if you can't get more towers, start turning customers away, until you can meet the load. there should be some regulation for this shit, like must have x throughput for every y customers, and if you're advertising 4g speeds, then 4g throughput it is. (that is if 4g every gets official itu relegation).
screw those welfare-receiving employees. let the military do their own r&d and development, with possibly a reverse gi-plan for weapons engineers. that'd be so much better than the scumfuckery we have going on now.
this should have happened 15 years ago. it should be accessible to anyone, same as domain names. it should not be overtly expensive, say 200-500% more than a domain. now get to it, you dirty icann bastards.
and that'd be 100% on said lawmakers. they could say it was in response to *anything*, but in the end, they'd be the ones taking away said liberties/rights/etc. it's like blaming the wife of an abusive husband.
they have never been too great at sorting. i remember going to video stores and always having the movies on the shelf in alphabetical order. netflix should always have that as default, but never, ever does. of course, clicking sortable list also gets rids of thumbnails. 2 thumbs way the fuck down.
my local news runs bullshit pieces like "underage college hockey players caught drinking alcohol". who the hell would want to watch that garbage? it is certainly not newsworthy on any level.
it's funny how the people that will take his word when admitting 9/11 oversight (more like gave the go ahead), but not his reasoning behind it: the saudi thing & america's continued support of israel. then again, most people don't see it for what it was, purely retaliatory.
all candidates should know how [position they're running for] works before the first campaign dollar is raised. maybe a test or something. they should be required to read anything they vote on. besides term limits, i'd like to do away with all lobbying, as their is a very, very fine line between pacs and bribery. also, no more piggybacking things onto other bills. each one should be straightforward and on-topic. maybe then they could weed out the unscrupulous ones.
While I agree with the sentiment, It's not that simple. "The bums" inhabit both political parties (they look different only superficially). Duverger's law states that any first-past-the-post voting system will result in a two party system. Stated simply, people know that third party candidates cannot win, therefore they only vote for the lesser of two evils, and therefore third party candidates cannot win. It's stupid and cyclical, but it's also reality. Bringing about change in a two party system is very, very slow and painful. It would be somewhat faster if we could change our voting system, but that too is a long, long ways off.
although, he should have gotten much more money for it. if we can sell plasma, semen and eggs, why stop there? if someone is willing to pay, they should be able to get what you have. plus, it'd be hard to be against this but for any other free markets.
i never understood why having a felony should bar you from voting. "hey, you served your time and all, but you'll never be a full, proper citizen again." it'd be hard enough with the stigma of incarceration. it's not even a "do the crime, do the time" scenario at that point. it seems so unjust in a modern society.
i do see where you're coming from, however:
1. definitely not the same quality hd.
2. purchasing new or used blu-rays allows me to also re-sell them at a later date. can't do that with streaming. although i do think there should be laws forcing them to do this. whether it be itunes, amazon or steam: resale rights need to be protected for all media formats.
3. with blu-rays, i am able to borrow to and from friends. same with #2: they could build the services to do this but they never will.
i'd totally switch to streaming if these issues were corrected, but the industries are run by fucktards. it's sort of like letting digital goods go out of print. it makes no sense to the consumer. they could sell sell me the damn.iso and let me print my own labels for 1/4 of the price or whatever [it would cut out a bunch of middlemen], but they don't. however, i will get the stuff any way i can. it's their lose not mine.
"content distribution agreements" are what the internet was supposed to get rid of. no regions. no zones. a GLOBAL network. too bad they let the suits get involved.
stop making devices that can do stuff then crippling what they can do. if it can stream internet video, then it should be expected, that over a month, many days worth of content will be consumed. it is also expected to be at the hi speeds that are advertised.

Why is shooting somebody in the face "art", but a naked lady not?
because most people don't get horny when they shoot people, and apparently being horny is bad. /shrug

that had more to do with overestimating our country's security, than underestimating the enemy, which applies in this case as well.

i guess i'd be fine with tiering so long as it is by either by data amount OR by speed. double-tiering leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

why stop at mobile?

well, it would be unfair to let one and not the other.

looks like a parent looking for another babysitter. is the tv not good enough anymore?
this is why taurens can't be warlocks =P

let's start with term limits for everything.
bad cops exist mostly because the good ones let them
organ markets shouldn't be black markets in the first place. they should be completely legit and regulated.
