I never understood in these cases why the "marriage" partnership wasn't held up to the same legality as a business partnership. If I had a business partner with joint responsibilities and they didn't do their end, and hit money, misappropriated resources, etc... they'd go to jail for fault... why don't those same rules apply to husbands and wives... crap like this makes "gay" marriage the LEAST of our moral problems with marriage.

easy fix. get all marriage-related business out of the legal system. the government should have nothing to do with it. any disputes can be handled like any other civil dispute: work it out or sue.

Zazzle has a clear policy that it will not sell items that violate copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property. These buttons do that.

Let's pretend I reviewed the *whatever* book(s) or movie(s), and published my review (one sentence, say, "I think *whatever* is retarded" ["I think" would be superfluous, actually] or 100 sentences) via t-shirt, button, newspaper, blog, etc. If that is clearly violating anything, then something is wrong. If any publisher could print a review or opinion about *whatever* for money, then this guy can make a button (and sell it, even). I'd wager zazzle censors 100% legit parodies, too. None of these printing companies (zazzle, cafe press, etc) are ever going risk even the modicum of legal action. It's the same shit that happens with video sites. It could be legit, but they'd rather be big pussies and cave. It's all part of the broken court system. You should never be able to win just by having more money.

not sure about linux tools, but here is what i use:
    Ripping:
    anydvdHD, which costs money
dvdfabHD, which has a free version for just ripping.
    Transcoding:
    ripbot264 to encode/mux to mp4 or mkv.
    My process:
just grab the biggest m2ts file from the bdmv\stream folder. not always the case, but more often than not. from there select the video/audio/subtitle stream, let it demux those. then, adjust some parameters(cropping/resizing, desired output size, etc) and let it go. about 15-30 hours later, there is a file that can be served (via Serviio) over the network to my blu-ray player.
    Misc:
i'll use tsmuxer to get the "core" dts stream, and use one of several tools to convert bitmap-based subtitles (idx/sub, sup) to a text based one (srt), if needed.
