I'd have to agree with you, I don't know why it tanked either. I fully enjoyed the movie and even saw it twice and it was definatly one of the better TNG movies (but not as good as first contact). It definatly lived up to the expectation of being a good one by virtue of being an even number. Even my wife enjoyed it enough to go see it twice with me even though she isn't a big TNG fan.

Ever heard of Mainsoft? They have a great porting framework for porting windows programs to several unixes including linux. That's what our company uses and I'd have to say it's pretty good and it even handles MFC, ATL, and COM. It reads the Visual Studio .dsp files and essentially just rebuilds the project for linux (or solaris, hpux, etc).

    You could just use tv.yahoo.com.

It couldn't be too difficult to figure out their URL parsing and get the provider number. You basically just get a table of shows, and you could even bring up descriptions of the shows, from the links on the page.

    The basic format is:
    http://tv.yahoo.com/grid?lineup=us_CO05536&al l=1&s tartdate=1039046400&starthour=18

You can get the lineup code from:
    http://tv.yahoo.com/lineup?co=us&zip=80027
    And substitute your zip.

startdate is kinda tricky. I haven't looked at it long enough to decode it, but just off-hand, it looks like the number of minutes since midnight Jan 1, 1970. (The example I pasted in was for Wednesday December 4th, 2002).

starthour is just the 24 hour time to start the listing. So my pasted example was for 6pm.

There are also some other options, but they are optional for the U.S.

It's an old laptop that's on it's last leg and it was already setup for the printer, so I just shared it, put it in a drawer and reboot it every month or so when it freezes up, most of the time I don't even have to think about it. Hidden in the pricing of any product is the message that the product is worth the price

This is why I refuse to pay for software. Because I know that software is _not_ worth the price (any price). I've worked in the software industry for quite some time and used many pieces of software valued very highly and I have _never_ found a piece of software that I would say is actually worth it's ticket price. So, I use all free (as in beer) software, I don't particularly care of it's free (as in speech), but as long as I didn't lose money on it. If it comes with the computer and I can't get the computer w/o the software, fine, no biggie, I would consider that different than going to BestBuy and buying it separate.

I will have to suffix this will the big exception to my not paying for software rule: games. Games are the one class of software that I will actually drop the 50 bucks for. Why? Because they're (usually) worth it, enough said.
