I think they overengineered it a bit.. I use Antec 90W slim power supply instead of 170W uberbrick for my W530 for few months without issues. Needed to create a custom plug though.

"These meteorites are thought to be from Mars because they have elemental and isotopic compositions that are similar to rocks and atmosphere gases analyzed by spacecraft on Mars."
Titov and Manarov spent 365 days in space in a single mission in 1987..1988.
Then Manarov logged another 175 days on Mir, couple of years later. So, I guess, he was in pretty good health after his first mission;-)
here are more photos/videos of the plant before and after the accident - http://forums.drom.ru/hakasiya/t1151240353.html
There is also a lengthy discussion of accident on the local forum (many plant workers participate and deliver "first hand" news there) - http://forums.drom.ru/hakasiya/t1151239745-p104.html
Transformers look ok, there were no smoke nor traces of fire damage. Hydraulic surge in generator #2 looks like most likely reason of the accident (the reasons of surge are not that clear still though, people talk about destruction of turbine or generator failure).

You totally forget about 5000m altitude. I would rather live in place with -53C in Alberta with normal atmospheric pressure than anywhere higher than 4km. Human beings have serious issues with adapting to such altitudes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altitude_sickness http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chronic_mountain_sickness http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypoxemia In addition to that you also have much higher frostbites risk even from not-so-low temperatures.

There was a similar scandal in Russia in 2006. They put huge posters with USS Missouri on Moscow streets on Army Day. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11524992/ns/world_news-europe/t/russias-red-army-day-blunder/
Destruction of basic services, good access to health care, and one of the best education systems is a very bad way to make Shia and Sunni equal.
Apparently somebody already asked :)
