For example, I don't want a book on "How-to-program-in-XYZ" there are to many of those out there. Instead, give me a books on "How-to-solve-XYZ". A good such book is the "Design Patterns" book by GoF.

The driving force for doing so has been the underlying Darwin kernel with the Max UI support as the key factor.

Now here is the bigger question for the /. readers. If this trend continues, are we seeing the end of Linux as a desktop OS? Is OS X the "next" Linux desktop going head on against Windows?

In my view, this is a real possibility once Apple ports OS X to the Intel platform or comes up with some sort of OpenSource license to OS X.

After all MS has a whole army of codders working on their compiler (not to mention for 15+ years). MS should know all too well by now how to write an optimized compiler -- and bug free, support for the latest standard, and on and on.

Now *THIS* should be the news of the day not Intel vs. GCC.

So don't expect me sitting by myself all alone next to the monitor downloading movies. However, expect me (and my family) browsing the net for information gathering occasional chats and email reading from friends that I don't see very often.

In this scenario, do I need a Broadband? No, my house has been doing just fine with a 56K modem for years now and we find it fast.

It turned out that the government has used an Operating System called TinyXP (tm) produced by a company called Microsoft to be the source of the problem. Aperently those robats are "crashing" and emiting "blue" color until they recover.

While Microsoft did not acknowledge the problem, nor did they deniy it. They simply said that they didn't have any comments.

What we need (and this is just for starters and as an example of my $0.02) is a system similar to what video stores have: ID check, group videos with titles, separate p0rn from none-p0rn in an isolated section, etc. After getting those basics elements in place, we can now start fine tuning things.
