ITworld has repeatedly embarrassed the hell out of themselves and is a joke. For the longest time deep links to their site would redirect to a mobile entry page when viewed from a mobile device, I stopped visiting them entirely. They really have no business reporting on anything related to technology because they continually show how little they understand and how much they try to get impressions (yay another slide show!).
If only we had a moderation system in place... Oh wait there is, so no need to censor some jerk because we... wait for it mr isp guy, we crowd source it to the cloud! *additional buzz words here*
Do we really need to bring buzzwords like the cloud into this? It's a file transfer protocol, aptly named, for transferring data to another system. It could be in a cloud or in a cave for all I care, as long as it has port 21 open.
oh really? cause i'd really like you to explain further where I can magically download a windows iso for free and have it accept the OEM key on the machine without pirating it or borrowing a similar restore cd.
I just bought 4 Dells, all with installation media. Go through the business part of the site even if it is just for yourself. You can even get rid of most the bloatware, just not fucking whatever DVD player of the month software is there.

If you can manage to get your car to move with a .45 BAC, nobody should stop what you are doing, Superman.
I'm pretty sure Wif Sync is trademarked by some redneck plumbers.
Disclaimer: I in no way agree with parent and fully support Sony with my money and first born child.
It's plausible deniability for others to shift the blame.
Yeah I just use NeatDesk and shred everything.
That costs them nothing. I want ID theft protection. They hinted at it, but were very vague.

Your lawyer friend wasn't aware of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act?

I'm sure that they've noticed a single person, and his boat, have stopped modding. Just like voting with your wallet works to show retailers!
This isn't touching at all. People do this all the time. Just cause it was gnome it's more important? Who cares.
Yep, it does.
Until the phone company quickly realizes that you're on a smartphone and then here comes the mandatory data plan. They do know what device you use.
That's weird. My AT&T service works elsewhere than Milwaukee.
Go on...
Earthquakes happen everywhere. Just like how California gets tornados.

Sadly I think that you're both right...
I agree it's clean to the point that it is annoying. Really, not even NIC drivers? Gee thanks...
