The real money is in concerts and t-shirts. At the end of the day thats what the label is for. The CDs are promotion tools and a way to pay off the label for the other shit.
Pink Floyd is independent, though I'm not certain if they always were.
I do know that The Wall made number 1 album sales without any songs ever going on the radio beforehand, thanks to their refusal to pay to get it on the radio.
Where signing with a label is beneficial is concert promotion, getting venues of any appreciable size set up is a specialized skill. And bands get a better chunk of the profits (usually 10% of the gross - actual band expenses like hotels to my understanding).
Though thats plenty doable with a smaller label, which is also going to be more reliable if what you want to be is a working artist.
That it is human nature to kill brutalize and steal does not change that it is illegal. Why should it change the legality simply because it is human nature to follow orders as well?
Of course, you can still nail the organizers for conspiracy to commit torture if you can prove they were complicit, and conspiracy to commit murder may apply via felony murder, there's no reason to allow anyone involved to go free.
Drug companies are some of the worst for patent abuse really. I've seen patents on any drug related to a certain protein for example, they also love to patent drug x + pre existing drug modifier y (such as extended release drugs).
Primates all use voice for communication, though its primitive by human standards, so it makes sense they communicate this with voice as well (there are body and facial language components as well though).
As for why the specific sounds in question? Hell if I know.
I mean hands off in terms of allowing people to dictate how they play, and not giving special coded privileges to alliance leaders the way most (possibly all) other games in the genre do.
You are right about not mentioning the economics tweaking that goes on though.
The primary game I play (a free browser based MMO at cybernations.net ), has gone through a number of major transformations by the players due to a largely hands off attitude from the admin.
Alliances, equivalent to a gaming clan in normal speak, have elaborate internal politics, constitutions and governments, a few of the largest and most organized have banking systems and police forces as well. All of this set up without any coded control over the alliance, the players organized it themselves.
Loopholes in the foreign aid rules, originally meant to provide help to other players, have been exploited to allow for a system of barter, rapidly accelerating everyone's growth to both faster and farther points than the game originally allowed for.
The inter-alliance politics have also grown to staggering levels of complexity, allowing for warfare to take place with thousands of players on a side when people are sufficiently motivated (the current record sized war had 16000 people at its peak).
Even the way the donations that fund the game take place is different now, with the smaller in game bonuses from donating being replaced by larger bonuses payed by game rich but cash poor players who want to support the game, but don't have money to do it.
Laughter increases the feeling of mirth in people who hear it.
Mirth itself is harder to explain, but it appears to serve a number of purposes, from a defense mechanism against hopelessness to stress relief to social reinforcement (teasing, mocking).
Actually, some experiments were done on institutionalized patients, mostly schizophrenics and people with debilitating anxiety disorders, back in the 50s, they had a reduced humor response.
Psychopaths have an increased one though, especially in relation to aggressive or violent humor.
Dish network doesn't list a 'family plan' as being available. The cheapest plan for English tv (there are cheaper ones in Spanish) is 39.99 a month after the promotional period. Taxes may also apply, hidden fees almost certainly will.
Ding ding ding, we have a winning feature, the note taking on the 700 is painful.
My understanding is that the glare was caused by the protective coating for the touchscreen (similar complaints were made about the kindle 2), and the 700 does have dictionary support, or at least, you can load a dictionary and then search it, properly designed dictionary support might be nicer.
All in all it sounds like a proper replacement for the 505, instead of the trade offs like the 700 ended up with. Wish I had the money. Ah well, next gen may have a better page turn speed too.:)
The Sonys have a zoom feature that scales very well with most PDF files, letting you read them easily on the small screen. (Some scanned PDFs will not work, some will, anything thats not scanned will work every time).
CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, CPSAN 1 and 2, History, Learning, National Geographic Channel, Bravo, Lifetime, Disney, Nickelodeon, Qubo, and so on.
Questionable quality of those channels aside, (especially history and the 'news' ones) it costs around 500 a year, minimum, to be allowed to watch those.
Public broadcasting also only gets about 15% of its money from the government, not half.

There are some indications its having the opposite effect though. The constant lesser contact causes feelings of homesickness and isolation to persist, and prevents that same time from being spent bonding with the other soldiers on deployment.
Depression is a neurotransmitter deficiency, not a hormone one.

That depends on the state. I know New York allows this.
The specific sound or that it is a sound at all?
Primates all use voice for communication, though its primitive by human standards, so it makes sense they communicate this with voice as well (there are body and facial language components as well though).
As for why the specific sounds in question? Hell if I know.
Because what we really want is a reapeat of the administration that causes wages to make a downward trend even as inflation spun out of control.
I mean hands off in terms of allowing people to dictate how they play, and not giving special coded privileges to alliance leaders the way most (possibly all) other games in the genre do.

Nope, this is Requia. Totally different economics munchkin.

I know I shouldn't feed the trolls, but black skin is apparently more susceptible to frostbite.

Can anybody tell the difference between the touch edition and the PRS 700? As far as I can see its the exact same device (just cheaper).
trying to fight Amazon's PR ability is a losing battle, seriously, don't even bother.

Yes but its talking about putting the brain on a chip. Those differences matter. You might be able to do it on a full computer though.
