I'm in the process of planning an Off Grid Solar Powered home and am hoping to find an 80 plus 150w PSU for a new build. If needed, I could possibly go with a 160w Pico PSU (12v input) for the damn thing. Migh be better as I can then push the 80 percent loading that I want for the new system that's based on an ITX board and a Xeon E3-1245v2. That's a 45w CPU with the IGP 4000 onboard. Good enough for me and runs Linux quite well. Total planned system load is 120w between the RAM, 3x 2TB Drives, 24GB SSD (board has an M-Sata slot for it) and the Burner.
As part of my plan to fit my power demand into the 30A/230V (5kw) invertor limits, I'm going with Digital Convergence and adding a Hauppauge TV Tuner/Video Capture card while underclocking the CPU by 80 percent in the bios. This wont affect video performance while cutting the CPU load down to 10 watts or less and yes I do know what that means in performance as I'm current using an AMD x2-240 Regor. Performance should be 500 to 1000 points better at the underclock I'm planning while using far less power and since I'm not an extreme gamer, the video performance will be fine (web, email, some flash games) as all of my games require Win9x and most run better under WINE anyhow.
forget going back to the moon as the purpose of NASA is to drive the development and use of new technology, which means the asteroid is the better choice. Heck it even gets us a foothold in space as the best way to build the vessel for that mission is in LEO (low earth orbit). Expand the god damn ISS into a proper space station folks and lets get working.
Then we should throw G.W.Bush Jr. under the bus along with Praetorious and any other politician. Oh and don't forget Bill Gates, Elison, Jobs and a whole host of others such as most of Hollywood and RIAA. Hell lets just start throwing everyone under the bus that I don't like, which means Humans since we can't live with them and they bring property values down.
Personall, I don't give a damn how much of an a*hole dotcom is since I don't have to put up with him at all. All I want is the service he provided where I was able to share some of my large artworks - bmp drawings in hi-rez that I sometimes create.
Not bad but you failed in comprehension. The post on treason was not in regards to U.S. law but Europena Law. Thus the statement on treason was in reference to EU pols being strung up, which sure as hell would work in both the EU and the U.S.
Remember Melisa? I've had both Norton & Mcaffee miss it in an email. The only reason I even caught the damn thing was the attachment and the fact that I disabled the Hide Known Extensions default. No AV is perfect. I run MSE because it stays out of my way and provides enough protection that I'm satisified with it. If I'm infected badly, I'll wipe and do a clean install as it's faster. It's also why I keep good backups.
If it's a bad trojan/virus, MSE works quite well in getting rid of it. Keep in mind that MSE is basically Windows Defender on Steroids so it works quite well for some things.
I've been using it on a Win7-64 install for the last 2 years and it's been pretty damn decent as it simply stays out of the way. If I'm going to visit an dogdy place online, I'll use Palemoon (based on firefox) with noscript. Pretty effective in blocking crap I don't want while allowing me to at least get an idea if I want to finish loading a site.
Most American's are ignorant because that's what the god damn corps want. They don't want an educated work force, India, China, Europe and others provide that for them. They want consumers who buy what's offered to them.
Some have refrenced the issues/problems in Greece and that's what America will look like in 50 years. God damn Nepotism/Croynism and the damn corporate corruption has already started raping this country and it will continue until we get some god damn two bit leader who's able to turn this place into another damn despotic regime or the people wake up and start pushing back against the destruction of the constitution.
Under German Law, it would be better to implicate him as a true Nazi with Nazi Porn and antisemetic crap - Godwin the sucker - as that's a higher criminal act then Child Pron would be
then I propose that we begin suing for failing to comply with both ADA (american disability act) and the EU disabled persons act and put you out of business. Do you want to up the ante?
The entire reason they passed this was to retain complete control of their local nets. In other words, Business as usual. If France decides to block objectional content from the Beeb in the U.K. they can continue to do so. If the Irish want to beat up the French, then they can do so on their local network and what ever else they want.
What thei ITU was proposing was a total takeover of the internet and I do agree that the idiots need to be shot, then drawn and quartered then those remains exposed to sunlight, salted, sprinkled with holy water then burned before being sent to the sun for final disposal.
and of that $8 per U.S. Gallon, 50 percent or more is parlimentary taxes. If you reduce the tax rate per gallon to what we pay in the United States, which is $0.14 cents, you'd understand why we are pissed at the Oil Companies because of the price of fuel, 90 percent of it goes to the oil company and every chance they get, they push the price up and tell us we're lucky we aint paying the same as in the EU and the rest of te world. No We aint because if we were, then the current $4.00 per gallon cost in my area would mean we're actually paying $2.00 per gallon for product with the remainder being taxes.
I'm still hoping that the Judge will issue a temporary ban of 6 months on all Apple products in the U.K. for their contempt of court. That may be the only thing getting the message through to Apple that You Don't Fuck with the Judges. Of course it would be far better if Judge Dread Charged and Fined them
Great Coolaide there isn't it. Secure boot does not benefit the end user. In fact it's explictly designed to take away My Control of the hardware I purchased.
What they want to do is get back to the Early Unix days where no one owned their computers. They leased them and the OS from companies like IBM, HP, DEC and so one.
The only reason there was interoperability was that the Unix label insisted upon a standard level of it so that the software that was purchased/leased could run on the various makes of hardware and it is still used today.
OSX is a prime example of this certification standard. Any Unix Software should run on the certified Unix version of OSX w/o modifications, exactly as the Standards Body Wants and since *BSD is Unix (one of the standards body members) it will always beat Linux from a commercial standpoint due to the stable API's that allow companies to create software that runs upon multiple versions of Unix. This is what MS has done with their Backwards Compatibility though they didn't do a good enough job of publishing the API's needed for that.
unlike GCC, Clang/LLVM was designed to ensure the optimizations are the same each and every build. This means you can compile from source and check the md5 sum of your binary against the master md5 and know if the source has been modified before compilation. Critical for signed binaries.
Another benefit is the support for older hardware that's been dropped by the GCC team along with ease of debugging. I've had compiler optimizations introduce unexpected bugs/failure mode in the Linux kernel itself that disappeared when the No Optimization flag was set. Simply put, if the kernel isn't stable, I don't give a damn how stable the rest of your system is, it's not stable because you can't trust the kernel and that's why Clang/LLVM is all about.
it'll be a pretty impresive repair considering that most vehicle ECU/EMCU systems were completely sealed in epoxy to protect from moister effects. I'd love to see You replace failed caps on such a unit.
These are just some of the reasons I'm sticking to my 1965 van. Absolutely no electronics and everything can be repaired/replaced without to much trouble unlike our 2003 Tracker. That's starting to have problems and the diagnostics alone are going to cost as much as the car is worth today just to figure out if it's a failing ECM/Sensor or just a dirty connection.
what's even worse though is the damn idiots that think it's cute to have those smart meters shut down. That's right, most of them include the ability to turn the fucking power off. Now how much fun would it be for some god damn script kiddie to turn ouf the lights to an entire neighborhood during thanksgiving dinner or turkey day football/sports what ever
As far as FP performance goes, AMD's higher-end CPU-integrated Radeons put Intel's offerings to shame, and give FP performance to the processor that the general-purpose cores couldn't hope to match (if used properly).
We'd already been hearing about CUDA from Nvidia when AMD announced their Fusion Design (1st stage was the Llano) and the first thing I thought of at that time was that AMD was going to use the GPU cores to replace the shitty FPU performance on their chips. I've posted on this numerous times and with the Bulldozer design. What I expect is that by the 4th generation, the new CPU's will look like a single core to the OS instead of the multiple cores we're used to seeing but the threading performance is going to drastically improve as they're already beginning to implement the multi-thread design efforts. Simply put, AMD is completely redefining the CPU while Intel works on simply improving what's already there. Who is going to win in the long run is going to be interesting though I suspect that if AMD can turn around their profit issues, they'll be able to improve the design of their chip to run as well as Intel on a 45nm basis and not have to go with the die shrinks that Intel is pushing.
Keep in mind that these die shrinks are beginning to reach the physical limits of the silicon itself and Intel is researching new wafer processes that are going to cost lots of money. If AMD can improve/match the Intel Performance/TDP factors while using a proven 45nm process, they will be in a much better financial position then Intel as they'll be able to continue using existing fabs that are paid for, thus offering their chips for less money.

Apple doesn't give a damn since they'd already been paid for them. That's the reason they were being shipped. Cash first, then ship.

which has exceeded 3 trillion dollars. I'd gladly trade the money spent on war for a stable power grid that doesn't go down at the drop of a leaf
and yet the biggest problem was that the stations had no power to pump the gas. Thus no sale is possible.
Kim Possible is the Supreme Kim. Cute as hell too.
In the United States, it's until Death. That's right, they have to keep your records until you die even if you only see that doc once in your life.
