I'm with you on this, I've heard previously about dreams in b&w, and after I've had a dream there's no specific info I can get about colours. It's kind of like saying that I had a blue idea, or a sound having colour. To me, dreams are ideas, thoughts and feelings with picture notes to make a point.
I remember when searching for things I'd often ignore the first and sometimes second page of results; with google it's the opposite and I rarely go to the next pages. Most times I'll refine my search if it's not on the first page of results.
about 8 years ago this was tried in my area, everyone said they were interested, but waiting on others. In the end, everyone was waiting for everyone else and no one did anything.
Personally, I think quantum entanglement will be the kickass next break-through in comms. I've got no idea if it will ever work, and sending info faster than the speed of light doesn't make sense to my poor monkey brain. Of course if an advanced civilisation gets this sorted there's no know way you could even spot comms like this.
Hopefully in my lifetime I get to see a mars mission equipped with something like this:)
I've always been a fan of pinball, I think because it's real world analog. I don't have to know any secret combo etc. Yeap, i sucked at streetfighter:)
When will gov stop messing around with time zones and DST? The WA gov in Australia are doing this too and it's a pain. I try and run all my stuff on UTC, but that's not acceptable for the user facing stuff.
just make what you need to happen, happen anyway, like if you need them to go south and they are hell bent on going north just move everything. If they want to kill an important NPC, make him have a pissed off brother or something and move the NPCs role to him, or a side kick or a "if you don't hear from me, assume I'm dead" note.
Bye Rob, and thanks for everything.
You don't need an IR transmitter when you're tv has IP and your pocket computer has wifi.
* I have: two laptops with it (FW800), one desktop (400), two external drives (1x400 and 1x800) and one video camera (400)

missed the joke
Same with HPUX
I watched in Australia and absolutely nothing about the vision being fake (oh-okay, simulated) was said during the parts being discussed.
Nice idea, where is all that Lime going to come from?
I'm a mac user and I'd prove you wrong, but I'm too busy looking at my pretty hardware and lickable gui.
shesh, already with the mouse! If Finder has died try command-option-esc and relaunch it there.

I started with gnome and have now switched over to a very cut down xfce. It's working well so far.

I like the gear noises in my Differential Engine No 2, it gives me a non-visual feel of what the computers up to. ;-)
* Option to turn of the 3d dock (yes, I know that are hacks to do it, but I still think apple should have had this option from day 0.)
Your right, I was wrong.
Death by snu-snu!

ctrl-ins to copy, shift-ins to paste much better than ctrl-c ctrl-v especially when on a qwerty mapped to dvorak.
say is a great idea when working with $_, no more print "$_\n"; inside loops just to get a newline on the end.
