I have made compilation CDs for two schoolteachers based on CDs that they own for educational purposes
I think (but not 100% sure) that when used in a classroom etc certain copy rights can be broken/waived e.g. a teacher can photocopy parts of books to give to students or students can copy books in a libary.
I just hope that they don't get too blinded by the $$$ to try that day care centre bs here.
yeah, the mclibel video/doco is pretty interesting, I've never really read the site more than that though. It's just the first site that poped into my head as being "anti" mcdonalds. Of course google would provide better sites. The cross thing was just a stat to impress/shock or something?
I'm not sure why, but my gf just wants one.. and soemtimes i feel as if she thinks that it is more important than the whole "getting engaged" thing. Bit of a worry when a lump of rock becomes more than what it represents....
I'm not a Ham, but don't the waves bounce between the earth and the ionosphere? I'm guessing that being that close the waves are passing over your head?
WinPT is pretty good, but at the moment all i (and others?) really want is just buttons added to their mail client, *click* encrypt, *click* passphrase, decrypt...
Melb to Adelaide? I don't think so, that's an awful long way! There are wireless groups in both cities, but a link between them using RF? I'm on the sydney wireless mailing list and the furthest we have gotten so far is talking assigning IPs to different states, if one day they *might* be a link or VPN between them.
Reply to myself... hmmm... Well, It was acutally a joke, but people took my comment seriously. I was thinking about high wind situations more than anything else. Ever towed a caravan in high wind gusts?
Hmm, this has got me thinking.. Is there a Lunar stationary orbit, the same way there is a Geo Stationary orbit, where an object orbits in the same time that the body below it rotates thus appearing to stay above one point on the surface?
I guess it would have to be too high and therefore unstable for a the moon, a 28 day "day" would place any object to high to be at all stable wouldn't it?
Depends on how often you visit.. when I use/. regularly i don't get mod points, only when I drop by to occasionally check what's going on... of course if I'm just dropping by i don't have the time to mod.. stupid wot?
Not sure how true this is, but apparently MS-word records the MAC address of NICs in word documents when saved. IIRC this is how they caught one of the macro virus writers.
This seems pretty familiar, you sure this isn't unquoted Hawkings or someone?

Love the microbee, but rarely here about it nowdays. It was the first computer that I got to play with (thanks to my uncle moving to a new machine).

I'm not the person you were directing your question to, but try http://www.mcspotlight.org/

Ogg can be resampled to lower bitrates on the fly. Mainly for streaming, but i guess it can be changed to make smaller files really easily.
umm, most chickens can't fly.

Rob did this on purpose when he reg'd the URL. Think i saw the interview about it over at the sync.
hah :) you've been watching simpsons too much :)
A toilet bowl is far to irregular to notice this effect. Even a sink would have trouble showing it.

Hmm, I don't know... I think if I sneezed at this thing sideways the breeze would tip it over. It seems far to high for its width.
How much sleep do i need?? More than I'm currently getting! :)
Nah, I want some retro 50s tail fins! sch-weet :)

Personally I blame pink flloyd for this. It's the far side, not the "dark" side. I'm not sure why people get this mixed up all the time.
left of the "" tag on the end of the article.

There's more than just two parties in our system, you could have voted for one of the other ones.
